We just got this receiver a few weeks ago and we're struggling to make sound actually sound "good".
Right now my wife is playing Netflix through it and the audio sounds like it's over processed or something. We keep adjusting all the levels and settings and nothing really sounds good. She wants to go back to our old Yamaha receiver because it had a setting that would make stuff sound more rich and full.

Is there something we're missing that we can try before we return this receiver?

Have you changed the sound mode any? Kind of hard to tell what your receiver is set at, so maybe toggle the modes and see if that makes any difference.

Yeah, we've toggled through all of them.

Also, we just swapped the connections for the left and right surrounds and realized the Left surround output in the receiver isn't working right. So we're going to return it.
