universal remote with activity button

looks like Harmony is the way of the dodo.

need to find a universal remote with an activity button. Sofabaton claims to have a macro button, but I can't seem to get it to work the way I need it to.

Harmony remotes can still be found. But, yeah, I've seen nothing that compares or would make an ideal replacement.

The
SofaBaton X1 Universal Remote with Hub SofaBaton X1 Universal Remote with Hub
is currently $159.99 on Amazon, and you can apply a 10% coupon to the order. That's the lowest it's been on Amazon.

The thing is a pos. No number buttons and it doesn’t do what you want it to and no pass through which I love on my MX-500. Doesn’t work for shit with PS5. Shouldn’t it turn it on? I can’t get it to work anyway. I have to look at the remote. My MX-500 I never look for like 6 or more devices.

Seriously? Now you got me wondering if I should cancel my order.

I hate it and don’t use it. Just keeping it around in case my 500 ever goes caput. Even then I will find a better alternative.

Just sits in my bed table drawer. Too bad too. I thought it would really work with such glowing reviews and replace my other instantly. Nope.

Even Youth man (one of the reviewers that got me to consider it based on their initial positive impressions) now hates the X1.

Ended up cancelling my order. It's a shame no one seems capable of replicating Harmony.

It's amazing to me that there aren't any alternatives out there. I'm still using my Harmonys for all my TVs. I went looking for the "next great thing" a few months ago and couldn't believe there was nothing out there. The remotes that come with our TVs and streaming devices have improved but they can't control everything. I can short-press my Harmony's button to set the receiver for the PS5 or long-press the same button to pick the Switch. No one else seems to be doing anything like that. It's wild.
