Why no 50" LED from Samsung?

I'm contemplating a TV upgrade and am very happy with Samsung, but there's a hole in their LED lineup. They have 40, 46 and 55 inch sets. If I want 50, I have to go plasma. I'd like a 50" LED, thank you very much. So why the gap?

And on that note, how is Toshiba's 50" LED?

I, like you wanted to go from a 46" Samsung to a 50". I ended up with the 55" and am glad I got the bigger size. It was only 6" wider than the 46", so 3" on each side. The smaller frame/bezel also helped.

Well I just bought a new car so I'll have to live with the 40" for a few more years.
