My Sony STR-DH520 Receiver doesn't output the proper HD audio.

I just bought this receiver along with our LG 3D Set to replace my old receiver due to this one having the 3D passthrough. The problem is that when we are watching a BD while using the PS3, despite having all the proper audio settings selected in the PS3, the receiver reverts back to the 48 khz setting and doesn't even output the audio to all of the speakers. Is there a fix for this aside from just returning the receiver for a different brand?
