Audio Through Stereo System w/ HD Receiver
I recently upgraded the receiver from a standard one to HD. Before I was able to listen to the audio via my stereo system with component cables (audio only) and video through coaxial. I liked it this way so I could turn off the TV but leave the receiver on and listen to the music channels through my stereo. Now, however, I got this HD receiver connected via HDMI but need to know how to get audio to my stereo. I tried connecting just the audio of the component cable as I had done before but nothing (I assume because the HDMI overrides the component).
Anyone have any suggestions?

What receiver do you have? You should be able to switch the output setting from HDMI➔Component on the receiver...

Re: Audio Through Stereo System w/ HD Receiver
Thanks for the reply. I found a workaround, I just used my old one and already had a cable splitter set up so it was easy enough to change. Before, I had checked the settings but it didn't work. Not sure why but it's good now.
