Best blu ray player for <$200?
I am looking for a blu ray player, I have decided it is time to make the upgrade. Money is kind of tight as I am a college student so I was wondering if you can get a decent blu ray player for under 200 dollars? if so whioch is a good option. Thanks

Insignia at Best Buy will be $99 next week. I do not have one but probably the best value you can get right now.

Insignia if you want dirt-cheap, but I don't know what kind of reviews they get. Panasonic DMP-BD60 if you want a fantastic, reliable player. You can find it pretty easily online for less than $150. I'd take it any day over an Insignia.

The BD60 was $128 for a while, but still pretty easy to get at $150

I would definitely spend the extra $ for the Panasonic.
I have the BD-55 (bought it last Christmas). It's a fantastic player.

Sams/Walmart has the Samsung 1590 for around $160. Great upconversion of standard DVD and the Netflix built in is a huge plus. That's my choice (and I bought it at $219.)

Re: Best blu ray player for <$200?
Personally I would steer clear of the Panasonic BD60 due to the well-documented and widespread intermittent freezing issue it has. I'd probably opt for the Sony BDP-S360 in that price range instead.

I like the newish line of Samsung's for their versatility & fast loading times. You can get the BD-P1600 for around $180 and it streams Netflix/Blockbuster/Pandora/YouTube in addition to playing audio and video files from your networked PC's hard drive. You can also connect it wirelessly by adding an optional dongle, or just buy the next model up & it's included.

Can you elaborate or provide any links? I have not had a single problem with mine.
