Do you know if they removed the access to the secret menu for the units which are on the market now?

Thanks

This site should tell you everything you need to know and more. So far, no one has confirmed a single instance of the menu being gone. I bought one 2 weeks ago and the menu is right where it should be.

Picked up one of these myself yesterday at a local Circuit City. The menu 'feature' is still there.

A search for Apex in this forum area will give you discussions like this one: http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/Forum5/HTML/002851.html

I haven't bought a PAL disc yet, but other Apex owners here have and it works.

It has been reported by a few Apex owners that the player can't handle seamless branching. Movies like the Abyss that use it will not play correctly in the Apex. I have not tried it yet, but plan on renting the Abyss and testing it in my Sony and Apex to look for problems.
