Stands for TVs; are there any that actually attach?

Anyone know of any TV stands offered that actually affix the TV? Any of the ones I've seen just rely on gravity, and I've got a couple of cats that are used to jumping on the TV. Not much of an issue with my current Trinitron (that thing's built like a tank), but once I move to an HD (in the next few weeks), there's a real danger of the TV being knocked to the floor.

Any suggestions?

Other than crazy glue, I mean.

your cats probably jump because it is a large flat surface right now. I doubt that will attempt that onto a 4" deep surface, but who knows.

The only thing that I can think of that comes close to what you want are the plasma/lcd stands that have an arm connected to the base and attach to the VESA mount behind the tv.

It looks like a stand but has an arm that the TV connects too.

Also. you can strap down the TV as well. Buy any wood stand and some TVs come with a strap that attaches to the back of the stand so it doesnt tip.

I don't know anything about cats, but perhaps they won't try to jump on a flat panel since it doesn't have that surface on top.

I know Panny plasmas have attachments so you can buy thin steel cables to anchor onto any stand.

Maybe try some double stick tape on the underside of the tv legs? I would hate to do that to a stand though.

What size TV?

There are wall mounts, VESA mounts (for smaller screens), you could just drill through and bolt the table stand down. Lots of choices.
