And, it looks like a old Beta/VHS machine. I don't care what the specs are, you can't tell me any Blu-ray player is worth a car.

Maybe it just has firmware that never needs to be updated.

I highly doubt it. The Pioneer Elite has already had several firmware updates.

Maybe you were kidding, but that would be a nice feature.

Yeah, I was joking that it would be a "feature" worth a lot of money to some people.

I am glad that it is over so to speak. I have both formats and really all I care about is having great PQ and Uncompressed audio in general. If I can buy some HD discs for little $ that would be great. If not, I can rent plenty of them from BB online.
