Need help with Loewe Xemix 5106DO Region Code Hack

Hello -

I am in Germany and wanted to play U.S. DVDs, so I followed the instructions on www.videohelp.com to hack my Loewe Xemix 5106DO. Apparently, this player uses the same hacks as a Philips 950. These are the steps I took:

1. Turn the machine ON and remove any discs.
2. When the display shows 'NO DISC'
3. Enter'Play', '159'.
4. The display changes to show 11 dashes ('-----------').
5. For region 1, enter the 12 digit code '005000128156',
for region 2 enter the 12 digit code '002000128156'
6. Press 'Play' and the screen will turn red and then reset.

This hack allowed me to view U.S. coded DVDs, but unfortunately, I am having trouble (locked-out) when trying to go back and watch my German discs. In other words, when I followed the above steps to get back to Region 2, I got an "region error" message.

Anybody know how to unlock or re-set the Loewe Xemix player? It's great that I am able to watch region 1, but I fear that I lost my investment of German DVDs! Thanks a lot for your time.

This is a better forum for help with standalone players.

Is there a 12 digit code for region 0? That may be the best way to work it out. Region 0 = Region Free.

Did you see this on the videohelp site?

1 press pause on the remote
2 enter 314159 - you should now see a region change screen, if you don't try enetering 1 and 2 again but do it faster !
3 press 0 for region free, 1 for region 1, 2 for region2 (we always change to 0 - seems to work for all dvd's)
4 press pause on remote
5 power off player
