Problems w/Sony DVD Player HELP!

I recently bought a Sony home theater system about 4 months ago the model is SLV-350P (DVD) HT-DDW665 (Theater System) It is a DVD/VCR combo player separated from the home theater unit.About 2 days ago I put a DVD in and it froze about 25 secs into the movie thinking this might be the DVD I put in another DVD in and it was freezing right after a few secs. After it would freeze I could hear a faint sound like 2 skips every few secs and at this point I can't stop the DVD or anything else except turning the power off.Has anyone have this model? or this problem happen to them? Please help!

4 months ago....still under warranty? If so, don't waste another second, just take it back. Lemons are not worth playing with, replace them.

Edit: Ok, you should double-check that you didn't happen to try 2 scratched or dirty DVDs. But then warranty time.
