TV magnetic field & AV equipment
I have always kept my home theater componets at least 6 feet away from my TV(32" Sony Wega). Due to space considerations, I may move my AV componet rack right next to the Wega. Is there any potential problem having all my equipment( receiver, DVD player, VCR) that near the TV? Interference, damage to the componets from the magnetic field?

No, only possible concern is the speakers if they are not magnetically shielded. It won't do damage, but their stray magnetic fields could deflect the TV's electron guns (assuming it has CRTs) in time to the music, causing a squirrelly picture. The center speaker and possibly the fronts are the concern. If they are shielded, and better speakers are, there should be no concern.
