How good are Region free DVD Players?

I already have a Sony NS-700NP and i was wondering besides the ability to play any Region DVD (which is great), how good a player is the Malata DVP-520 compared to other models? Is it worth the purchase? Anyone have any problems with this player?
How good are the Region free DVD players in general?

Welcome to the forum - the wrong one, but what the heck. (Question more appropriate for the Home Theater or International Forums, since it's not about DVDs themselves).

I did a search (this can save you a lot of time) for "region free" and came up with

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/search....der=descending

That should get you started!

I have a Cyberhome 500 that I picked up for like $70.

I love it.

Region free players are like any other player. They vary in quality greatly. Follow the links provided, check out the International and Hardware forums, they should answer most of your questions.
