Chirping?
Hello. During certain movies, my left surround speaker makes this "chirping" noise. I first noticed it during the last scene in Boondock Saints, where the saints are in the courtroom. All of the wires are correctly inserted, and everything is properly installed. I use monster cables, and a Pioneer VSX-3411 reciever. The speakers are "Digital Audio" speakers, which I assume are a generic brand. The set came with two tower speakers, one center, and two rear (which look like bookshelf speakers). On the back of the towers, it says "30-300 watts, 4-8 ohms, 90 db," while the other three speakers say "10-200 watts, 4-8 ohms, 90 db." So, do you guys know what is the reason for the chirping, and were these speakers a good deal (my friend bought them for $1000 from another "friend")? Thank you for your time.

Quote:
As far as the chirping goes, switch the left and right surround, and see if the problem is with the speaker or further up the line (receiver, dvd player, etc.). |
