Make ANY DVD Player region/code free?
Hey all..
I know that there are MANY dvd player sout there (some real cheap, and some higher-end name-brand ones) that can be hackind into via some key presses that will make them region/code free. Now can that be done to ANY player -- i mean, we may not know how, but do you think that all players are able to be manipulated like that? I have a new Panasonic RP82 and i wanted to know if it could be done. I have seen the RP82's with region/code free and i dont know if it was a software hack, or if they actually played with the parts inside... Thanks for your help... Matt |

No. Some players, like Sony, are notoriously difficult and require new chips to be installed by someone who knows what they're doing. You also have the PAL-to-NTSC conversion to deal with.
There's a page at www.vcdhelp.com that lists ways to hack particular models of players.
