Please Help! Parents Lost DVD Remote Control..Need Way to Play Movies

My parents lost the remote control to my old Toshiba 3109 that I gave them. The only controls on the actual player are PLAY STOP PAUSE FORWARD.

Is there a way to get a movie to play? Past the welcome menu? I am stuck and need help!

Doesn't play function as enter as well on the menu screens?

You could always get them a cheap universal remote.
