Copy DVD Software? (re: Spam e-mail)

I am getting bombarded with DVD copy software offers. They claim you can copy DVDs to CD-Rs and watch them on your DVD player. Does anyone have any experience with this software? Please e-mail me at rdgafford@yahoo.com with any advise.
