Sony DVP-NS500V advice
I have an interesting problem I want to solve- I want DTS without buying a new receiver.
My Denon 3200 allows me to input a decoded DTS signal with its 5.1 audio inputs however my Toshiba 3109 does not decode the DTS signal.
I have 375 dollars in gc's from Best Buy so i figured i would just buy the Sony DVP-NS500V which decodes the DTS signal and replace my 3109.
Part of me would like to get a new receiver however I really do not like any of the ones best Buy has and this would be the more expensive solution than a 299 dvd player.
Give me your advice
Am i making a mistake by trying to go cheap on this and should i just spend the additional money to get a newer receiver?
Are there problems with this dvd player i need to know about?
also if you know of a great online place to buy cables to use to connect the dvd player DTS output to the receiver. I will need 6 cables I assume 75 Ohm video cables will work- monster cables?

Are you going to want DTS in the future? What happens if you want/need a different DVD player?
I agree that Best Buy does not sell good quality receivers.
Tough choice, perhaps you could forgo DTS for the time being and evaluate where you want to spend your money in the future.
