When I play certain concert DVD's the sound level seems to fluctuate. The sound seems to throb in and out. It's very noticeable on Pearl Jam's "Single Video Theory" and their new "Touring Band 2000". I'm thinking it could be bad encoding because I don't hear it on other concert discs like "U2 Rattle & Hum". Has anyone else using a Sony player seen this phenomenon?

Thanks,
Brian

I haven't heard of anything like this (but that doesn't mean much! ). Could be the disc. You could try posting a thread in the DVD Talk forum asking other owners of PJ:SVT disc to see if it's a mastering problem.
