I didn't realize that it was open to Canadians, so what the heck, I'll try it out.

Hey everyone,
We've sent out the confirmation email to the winners. We will post the winner's Goozex nicknames once they have confirmed their address with us. Good luck! |

Re: Goozex - Movie Trading Site Introduction
I just got an e-mail too... I WON THE PS3!!!!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And for those of you who've been on the fence, I've actually enjoyed using the Goozex service quite a bit. (And no, I'm not being paid to say this. Ok, well actually I guess the PS3 DOES count as pay... but as my employers well know, simply paying me does not automatically mean I'll do any work, unless I feel like it. :P ) If you're trying for hot titles, like newly released Blu-rays, you might be waiting a while, but the prices on some of the TV sets and older DVDs are actually very reasonable - better than you'd get on eBay, actually, if you don't mind waiting until a copy becomes available for trade. Since I'm trying to rebuild my DVD collection, I've got a ton of titles I need right now, so this solution works perfectly for me. The only thing that drives me crazy is realizing that everybody else likes the same stuff I do... but like I said, Goozex is for patient people who don't mind taking a little time now to save some cash over the long run.

Re: Goozex - Movie Trading Site Introduction
Might sound like a stupid question but...
I recently sent out my first DVD and received my feedback. Good stuff now I have 100 points to spend and 1 token to complete my first trade. Looking through the list of available titles and can't figure out how you slect the one you want. All it does is add the title to my request list, even if it has no one else looking for that title. Is this hhow its supose to work, then the system will process that request sometime in the near future? Thought if noone else was looking for a DVD that was available, I could get it automatically? |

Re: Goozex - Movie Trading Site Introduction
You can only get it if somebody else has it on their offers list. The system will match the two of you up and generate an email to the seller, who then has 26 hours to confirm (you know this part already, since you've already sent something out).

Re: Goozex - Movie Trading Site Introduction
So are the DVDs listed under the available link showing just because they have been entered into the system and not because someone actually has one available to trade? I just want to see which DVDs somebody actually has up for trade that there is no want list on, so i can select it and have them ship it out.

Re: Goozex - Movie Trading Site Introduction
No, there should be somebody offering it if it's on the "Available" list. You can click on the DVD for more details to see how many requests and offers there are.

Re: Goozex - Movie Trading Site Introduction
I see, so then basically if its on the list and I request it (and am the only one), I just have to wait for the system to process and initiate the trade right?

Re: Goozex - Movie Trading Site Introduction
Yep. According to forum posts they should have "instant matching" later this month, so that you'll get a more immediate confirmation.

Re: Goozex - Movie Trading Site Introduction
Keep in mind, the "available" disc has to match your requested condition as well - it may be just a "Disc Only" available when your settings require a "Full Package". The best way to check is to go to the "Trading Info" tab for the individual movie - this will tell you how many copies are being offered and requested, and whether those copies are Available, Restricted, or On Hold, as well as the condition.
Be aware, though - even if you manage to get matched up with a copy, it doesn't automatically mean you'll get it. The seller has 26 hours to confirm, and if they don't confirm, their copy gets put On Hold, and you go back into the queue (but you don't lose queue position). I've got one particular set on my Requests list that I've been "matched" for 4 times now, and not once has somebody actually agreed to ship it yet! I think that some people aren't very good about updating their lists, and forget to remove stuff until they actually get an e-mail - at least, that's my theory.

Re: Goozex - Movie Trading Site Introduction
It can be hard to get someone to send a 100-point item to you sometimes. Lots of people think it isn't worth the shipping cost.
