All the 24.95 pre-orders count as fulfillments. They haven't increased the price of the Lion King yet, but it should still count (mine did last week). If you add another 24.95 pre-order to your order (Like Pirates 4 or Cars 2) you should be able to fullfill both and get free shipping (you won't get the 40% off, as they are not discountable), that's what I did.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Thank you both. That is exactly what I was hoping to hear. Placing an order for Lion King and Cars 2 right now!

ETA: Indeed the order had free shipping when adding them both. Cars 2 description stated it would count as a fulfillment, but Lion King still did not. Placed the order anyway, assuming it still counts. $8 each shipped for 9 Disney BDs is a great deal!

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Did anyone get a lenticular with their Lion King order? I was a little disappointed not to have one included with mine.

I'm looking at enrolling again, and wondering the best way to go about it. I type in the 14366 code, and it appears that I am only getting the first 4 for $1 (rather than the first 5). Is still the best enrollment code? Thanks for any suggestions.

Good question also I guess the don't offer 3D titles as enrollment picks.

Try this code.....17674D

If it works it should net you 5/$1. Plus you should get the $11.95 & $8.95 options.

If you try the call-in method you may be able to get one or two of the 3D's. I have read the thread on this over @ blu-ray.com that some have been able to get a 3D title or two, while others have reported being shot down.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Thanks. I did try that code after finding it on blu-ray.com as well. It worked! It could be convenient for the first post to updated with a valid code. Thanks for the input, guys.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

I just wanted to update and confirm that The Lion King is still counting as a fulfillment selection. It shipped on 10/10 and this morning, the indicator appeared.

Did you take advantage of the bonus offer? By buying the sixth title, it should drop your commitment from 3 to 2.

If it hasn't shipped yet, call them up and see if you can add it on. The 7th title for 8.95 actually isn't a bad deal either, even though it doesn't count toward committment. It actually lowers your average cost per BD if you are fulfilling with 29.95 titles (if you manage to fulfill with 24.95 pre orders that count towards commitment however, then it is a slightly better deal to not buy the 7th title)

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

I joined, and quit, the DMC about a year ago.
I have a question:
At the time, I was able to pre-order Tangled on Blu for $24.95 and it counted towards my fullfillment.

I read above that people have had the same experience with TLK and POTC.

Is this now a common practice with the club? Being able to pre-order at a reduced price and have it count towards your fullfillment?

Seems to be fairly common, but only with the bigger releases. Cars 2 also has a similar offer. But for example, "Dumbo" and the new "Winnie the Pooh" movie which comes out Tuesday were never offered for pre-order (in fact, dumbo isn't even in the club yet for some reason).

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

So... I recently joined and am looking for fulfillment titles. I was hoping Dumbo would be the featured title with its $5 discount. Instead, I have a 5disc Cars 2 pack for $35.

My kids will want to see Cars 2, but I don't care about the blu-ray 3D it comes with.

So, as I'm figuring out the best way to maneuver through my membership, I wanted thoughts: would this title be a good choice for me to use as 1 of the 2 I need to purchase to fulfill my account?

I wouldn't order the 3D version if you don't want/need it. You should be able to order the 2D version for 24.95 and it will count toward your fulfillment.

Hmmmm...so, being that all the "big" releases have come and gone for the moment, it may be a poor time to join? Being that their won't be any good fullfillment deals on the horizon.

Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

So, I opened my first account and fulfilled it quickly with the 24.99 BDs of Lion King and Cars 2 (tthanks for all the postings that made this easy). My question, are there any benefits that come with membership that would make it worthwhile to keep an account open?

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Is it confirmed that Cars 2 (2 disc edition) counts as a fullfilment title? My selection of the month was the 5 disc'er.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Another question for current members.
If I join, let's say, now...would I have access to the site instantly, to place an order or do I have to wait a few days?
I'm asking because if I join now and am still able to "pre-order" Cars 2 at a reduced price to add one towards my commitment...I would sign up now.

^

I signed up yesterday and received instant access. I'm also contemplating ordering Cars 2.
