How often do these 50 off codes come out, fairly regularly i.e. 3-4 months?

This code wasn't meant to be for all members. It's a code that a CH CSR gives out when you call in to cancel your account. They give out this code as an incentive to keep your account open. I wouldn't count on an additional 50% off code coming out in the near future.

Figures. I just placed an order and was charged $12.94 in shipping. I'll drop them an email and see if they will refund the shipping. My confidence is low.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

How quickly do they approve new accounts these days? I could open an account for one of my parents, and possibly get to use the 50% off coupon again...
Is the only enrollment option buy 1, and get one DVD free? That kinda sucks, but I can deal with it if I get to take advantage of this deal...

I can't believe I'm going to do this after waiting forever for MOS 3D pre-order...

I am in for three pre-orders:

Gravity 3D
The Hobbit 2 3D
Hunger Games 2

I have taken screen shots of all three movies showing the expected shipping dates and Gravity is on the clock...

Did you already use memberschoice50 or memberschoice on a previous order? This code can only be used once per account.

Nope. The 20.14 codes are the only ones I've used recently. I have 4 dvds in my cart. Does it only work on blu-rays?

It should work on DVDs. Maybe it doesn't work on a BOGO order(the blu-rays are a buy 2, get 1 free). Out of curiosity, remove 3 of the DVDs from your cart and try the code.

I tried it with 1 dvd, and it still didn't work. I've been successful with some blu-rays, although they seem to be picky with what constitutes a "set".

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I played around with the code/sale and couldn't get it to work with DVDs either. Strange, since the memberschoice code was working with DVDs previously.

Finally used my last code. Debated whether to get a bunch of cheap catalog titles or several newer films. Ended up with a bunch of recent movies that I haven't seen.

About Time
Dallas Buyer's Club
Lee Daniels' The Butler
Blue Jasmine
Now You See Me
Nebraska
August: Osage County
American Hustle
The Wolf of Wall Street

$72.21 shipped (just over $8/title)

If you have an old canceled account, you can reactivate it if you have your account number. I went through my old emails and found an account number for an account that I closed last March. I was able to register this account on the new site and can now use the memberschoice50 coupon one more time. Too bad the $20.14 codes expired last month.

I guess these are pretty good deals, but they'd all be blind buys to me. Just can't do it. Maybe I'll look around tomorrow, but I may actually pass on this. (Who am I kidding ... but we'll see). The only newer release I'm anxious to get is Gravity and I ordered that in the last sale.

BTW. any one do a download of all the titles available at CH. Somebody used to do it, but I think it's been several years since the last one.

I had already done that. That's how I got 3 accounts. I only had one active account, but found 2 canceled accounts under different email addresses. I do have other canceled accounts, but with the same emails, and they come up "cannot be found" so I think I'm SOL. I did discover the memberschoice50 code works on my SFBC account, which carries some BD's, but they don't have Hobbit Smaug 3D (only 2D), plus their prices are higher. Still, I may find a few additional titles to buy. At least there is free shipping...

Just got a shipping notice for Gravity 3D. Still waiting on Ender's Game from the same order though.

They told me to pound sand on the shipping refund. Big surprise.

Someone on another forum contacted CH regarding Ender's Game. They said that it is on backorder until March 14.

This seems to be the case with some, if not many of the studios lately. This used to happen back in the day as well, but at least they adjusted the release date on the CH site for the day that CH would actually have it available. Made a lot more sense and expectations were adjusted accordingly. Nowadays it just comes off as typical random CH nonsense.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I received Gravity 3D and Thor DW 3D yesterday. I was so shocked! That's pretty good, for them! They arrived Priority Mail, too! But in separate boxes, cuz they were from separate orders. Same account though. They just weren't smart enough to combine them...
