But those amounts could be the items that haven't shipped yet and haven't been charged to my cc yet. I tried to do the math based on all charges I've incurred and I come to within a few bucks of those numbers. My other account has a $2.99 balance.
In today's strange CH update: The account with the $12.88 balance due now shows $5.78 due. I had a charge for $7.10 on my credit card from 2/6 which is for Bionic Woman: Season 2 which has already been received. I don't know if the decreased amount is from that or potentially season 3 which I haven't received yet (and doesn't show shipped on the site) and should be the same price.

And another update: I sent them an e-mail about receiving the wrong BD last week (ordered Chloe, received Kill Switch). No response, so I sent another message on Sunday evening. Received a note today with an apology and that they were sending a postage paid label to return the incorrect item.

Then I received a separate shipping notice for the correct item. With a $2.99 s/h charge.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I received an email regarding my Riddick order that was canceled. The mystery $5.31 charge that was showing as pending on my credit card was an attempt by them for the reorder of Riddick. How it came to that amount, I have no idea. My credit card rejected this charge and they are now saying I need to contact them on why it was rejected.

I send another email back reminding them once again that payment had already been received on that order and threatened to file a complaint with my credit card if they did not straighten it out.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Forgive me for the frequent posts, but the zany updates are nearly a daily thing with CH.

When I first discovered this "amount due" listed on my accounts, the 2 accounts in which I made huge orders recently had $12.88 and $17.80 showing.

I updated a few days ago to indicate the amounts were $5.78 on the first one and at that time the $17.80 remained unchanged.

Today, I receive another shipping notice for 2 items I made using the first account. I now have a balance due of $25.06 on the first account and $5.62 on the 2nd.

I think I've given up trying to figure out CH math.

Some people have sent a private message on their facebook page to work things out with them when customer service fails. You could try that.

Thanks, I'll try that... Of course, that amount doesn't calculate no matter how I try it. The funny thing is, my credit card is on the order. They're just too stupid to charge it... I can possibly understand the failed linkage to Paypal. At least there's somewhat of an excuse for that. But if an order is placed with a credit card, they should charge the card. It sure as heck isn't getting declined...

EDIT: Holy cow, my card was authorized yesterday for $497.66! That will bring me back to the original balance due of $78.33. Of course, I can't pay that until they adjust the balance online. Their system is stupid. You can't pay a portion of an amount due...

No, I didn't keep one. I kinda wish I had, but it was big, and weirdly shaped. I just didn't have a place to put it. Plus I already owned seasons 1-4. I know I shipped with Fed Ex, through Ebay, but I don't remember how much. Ebay is blocked at work, so I can't look it up. FYI, in case you weren't aware, anything sold for $250+ (including shipping) requires a signature. Otherwise, you would lose any dispute.

Free shipping today. They just added Touch of Evil and Double Indemnity to the pre-order list for $17.97 each. I'm getting real close to using my last memberschoice50 coupon.

But Hobbit 2 is gone now... I think I'm going to use my last coupon today. We don't know when it expires, right? This may be the last chance to use it with free shipping...

Some decent deals with the $14 sale, too. Thus, $7 each...

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I placed my final 50% off order. Maxed out 20 items again. After adding the 15th item, Expedited Shipping was free. I guess that's how I got expedited the last time, too... Of course, I firmly believe they'll find a way to screw up this order like they have my other orders. I actually re-ordered Riddick, one of my canceled $20.14 items. I gave up on trying to get them to reinstate my order... I'm only paying $6.50 more, so screw it...

Oddly the only order that has not shipped is the account tied to a Credit Card. The "Bill Me" accounts have all shipped....

They have a B1G1F sale today, but it's worthless. Free shipping is gone, and BD's or Box Sets do NOT count as qualifiers. So you have to buy a single DVD in order to get a single DVD free. Easy pass. Glad I ordered yesterday with free shipping...

Are there still people buying movies on DVD?! I wish this format would just go away and force everything (especially TV shows) to be released in HD, the way they originally aired!

Smaug is back! Now I just have to wait for the next free shipping promotion to use my last memberschoice50 coupon.

I just noticed that they have a buy 2, get 1 free on Blu-rays. This does stack with the 50% off memberschoice50 coupon. Glad I waited to use my last coupon(sorry, kenbenobi).

GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fudge. Oh well, you can't win em all... I missed Smaug AND B2G1F. I would have gladly sacrificed free shipping for those...

CH won't allow you to take Blu-rays as enrollments. Also, there are no enrollment codes anymore, only the default offer on the website.

I don't think anyone knows. There was a similar code available a few weeks ago - memberschoice. That code stopped working suddenly and then this new one popped up. If you had used the first code on an account, then the newer one didn't work.
