divided by 3
= $15.33 minimum per movie (it's more if your choices are above $19.99)

right now with the 40% off, most of the blu-rays are below $19.99, so they don't qualify for the march or april primary purchase

I don't find that a good deal
Buy one in March with a bogo code...
$20 + $0 + $5 shipping

Get one free in April for buying in March...
$20 + $0 + $5 shipping

Besides all that, you can still use the special bogo code for buying one in March, even if you didn't buy one in March.

I'm more of a Blu-ray chap now, so the majority of the dvds I buy from CH are sold. Take the money earned and subtract it from the amount paid in a bogo deal, or an enrollment package, and the final numbers aren't too bad.
If the extra effort is too much to bear, then the avarage price paid for dvds when encluding the enrollment package is still desirable, but at this point for Blu-ray, you're probably better off just buying at the B&Ms or Amazon.

Both bogo codes work with the Buy_1_to_fulfill anomaly.

If you click inside the e-mail where it says "shop now" it always works.

It's not working for me either. The free DVD is showing up, but everything else in my cart is at full price.

If the price in the cart where it says "you pay" is lower than the "membership price", then you are getting the so-called up to 60% discount.

Since you are seeing the free DVD I'm not sure what's not working for ya.

The "you pay" price is the same as the "membership price." 9 DVDs (no blu-rays, pre-orders, or boxed sets) totaling $193 - including the crazy $18 shipping. Weird glitch, I guess. I'll just wait and hope it gets fixed.

Thanks though

Just curious why you would buy 9 regular dvds instead of just enrolling again and getting them cheaper.

I guess I could, but I already have two accounts and I don't really feel like enrolling again until I cancel one of them... which I keep putting off because I hear it's a major hassle to do.

you pick up the phone and call them...it takes maybe 2 minutes and the cancellation happens right then and there.

If you'd rather not call you can do this from the website very easily.

On the main page select "help" from the top right links.

From the section "Contact Us" (toward the bottom right) select:
"Still Have Questions? Contact Us"

*DO NOT USE* the "Cancelling your account" link under "My Account". This'll just show you the phone number to call.

From the "Still Have Questions? Contact Us" link click on "click here" from the line: "Please click here and fill in the form to submit your inquiry to our Customer Service team."

On the form page, select ""My Account" for the request type and in the 2nd drop down select "Cancelling your account". (you don't need an order number). In the box put something simple like: "I've completed my fulfillment requirements and would like to cancel this account." Click "Submit".

You'll get a "message sent/received" confirmation email and a "account is closed" confirmation email within 72 hours (usually less).

If you're cheap (refuse to/don't own a cell phone, don't use/need/want unlimited LD service) there are no LD charges (no Toll Free number for CS any longer), no wait for a CS rep., no asking why, no offer to stay, just a simple OK.

If you'd rather call, the number is 1-717-918-3232.

I always use the form. Works like a charm.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I enjoy canceling my accounts the online method. Then when they ask reason for canceling I write them something like, "I have fulfilled my part of the membership agreement, now I wish to buy my DVDs from Amazon and other cheaper sources."

You can also just send them an email with your account number and cancel. I do that everytime i cancel and i never have to deal with talking to anyone. Here's there email address [email protected]

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I keep hearing a lot of people say that they fulfill their membership and then cancel and rejoin. Just wondering what the benefits of this are and will they definitely take you back? I have been a Columbia House member for over 3 years now with the same account. I didn't know you could do this. Thanks!

^

The obvious benefit is that you keep getting the killer deal on enrollments. I've never had trouble getting back in, but I usually take a few months before I cancel an account.

Is there any way to move the membership strategy discussions or cycling accounts questions to another thread?

Actually, it's $5 off every $25 (so $10 off $50, $15 off $75, etc).
