QFT. Perhaps it should be taken elsewhere?

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

It's obviously not a CH deal, but I don't think that a little discussion about the DD deal is so bad. It prevents people from ordering a title at CH when you can get a better deal elsewhere. Now that everyone is aware of the DD BOGO deal, no further discussion in this thread is really necessary.

I hope next time I post in the CH code thread.. it can be to discuss actually using a CH code... like before they locked up the deals..

Thanks. I did that and they accepted my order. Unfortunately the whole shopping cart on both my accounts is hosed. Anything I add still goes in at full price so I can't take advantage of their normal emailed offers.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

The site has been down a lot lately. Randomly down for maintenance. Have you guys run into that? Big brown screen. Maybe they are trying to fix the email deals that don't work -- I have a couple accounts where it shows full price no matter what email I click through.

I have to say, I am looking forward to a Free Ship code, it's been a while so maybe it's coming? Around this time last year they started the $7.95 free ship which was actually really nice for those 2-DVD special editions. And now that Blu-Rays are 40% off, with free shipping I can make a real dent in my blu-ray wish list.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Free shipping has been somewhat rare, although there was one about a week ago.

Careful on that 40% off, sometimes there's cheaper prices to be had elsewhere online.

I think free shipping was yesterday(the 13th).They had a 4 hour sale.Not sure when it started/ended.
I was surprised no one mentioned it here.

The 4 hour sale emails I received said nothing about free shipping. It was 55% off. The fine print said there would be shipping and handling charge.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

It was weird because I checked my email around 3pm on Tuesday and noticed the email about a 4 hour sale(i think this was the one that mentioned free shipping).
Later that evening,I received another email about another 4 hour sale and this one did not have free shipping.

Each of my accounts seem to have different emails and different sales. And the codes don't always work on the accounts that they are supposed to work on, and sometimes they work on all the accounts. It's a real fizzle schnizzle if you ask me. I miss the simpler days and the better deals. Although, I don't miss the constant overcharging and re-keying orders randomly between accounts. That seems to be all but gone now. Maybe it's a worthy trade-off.

My offer for each account was 55% off when they were running the 7.95 sale -- so most of the stuff I'd want was more expensive during that so-called sale. Ahh, well. It is what it is.

809188 I miss thee. Wow. It's been so long I don't even remember if that's the right code. It's a travesty, it is. Borderline heresy. (just being dramatic. this thread is not dramatic enough. must. have. drama. or, well, maybe just codes. worthy and wonderful codes would be a nice substitute.)

wonder what the holiday specials will be this year. I hope they are good.

Does anyone have a live BOGO code other than the one posted above?

Thanks!

I'm curious; what did this code give you?

It was a free shipping code (before they changed the site) that worked almost all the time and was stackable with almost any default offer. Made things easy. Easy is good. Easy is nice. Easy is ... well... easy.

That was a magnificent time as well. Buy 1 Get 4 ... I must have spent $500 during that sale. $6 and change for a new release special edition. Couldn't go wrong with those. I used to come in here, get my Jester fix and be on my way. Now it's ... ugh. Different. Can't make sense of it, there are no patterns to speak of, and it's not easy. I have to check my email all the time. BUT again, I do like the "not messing up my orders all the time" thing. That was a real time-drain and a huge pain. Never filed so many disputes in all my life. Had to print a copy of your order or you got screwed because they didn't have a record of it -- they would just randomly re-key stuff in at full price. ...

There's a $4.99 flat ship for the entire order on one of my accounts with a 60% off -- then there's a 60% off with regular shipping, and then we have the 50% off with regular shipping (blah!). All without codes. I think I need to take break -- seems the accounts I don't order on for a while get the better deals.
