It's now back on the site - but now priced 139.77, under the same selection number.
What does CH usually do in situations like this? They don't/can't retroactively change the price you were charged, do they?
I pre-ordered Wizard of Oz at the cheaper price $7 less ($34.99 one day, $41.99 the next), and they billed me at $34.99. But since this is such a drastic price difference, I still hope they do the same for this one. I'm not expecting them to, but if I get billed at the $139 price, I'll just return to sender.

I wish I would have seen this. My brother loves this show and it would have made a great birthday gift, assuming that I would have gotten one for $17.97. Good luck to those who ordered.

With Kung Fu Panda Blu, they canceled out all the original orders but sent it to everybody anyway. Not sure with such a high differential.

Guess it's a waiting game now. My order shows "Scheduled to Ship" (and I'm assuming everyones order(s) shows the same) - FWIW.

I don't hold much stock in "scheduled to ship"... I have an item .... not a price diff like this but an actual B1 of a B1Gsomething sale... that has been "scheduled to ship" since I ordered it 7/12/2007... the item never shipped and I was never charged.. but got the the other parts of the order... total bizarro...

If I do actually get mine, it's going up for sale the day I receive it.

I don;t blame them if they cancel these orders -- no problem.

But if they pull that crap they pulled last time where they charged what the hell they wanted to, I will 1) Make ONE phone call to get them to honor the price I bought it at. 2) If they will not, I will contact my CC company for an unauthroized charge.

I'm not going through the hassle of trying to return it and get my money back on a mischarge. I went through months of hell trying to figure out what they did last time and I won't blink at filing against them with the CC company.

I used the funcash from this purchase right away... they zero out our accounts on 1/1.. so now I show a negative balance... appropriate if they removed the funcash from this part of my purchase before zeroing out... this makes me suspect these will be canceled... time will tell..

& got Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side DVD for FREE. FG shipped on 12/28/2009

Doesn't mean anything. Normal FC behavior.

^Yes, but I find it interesting that they'll *remove* any unused FC at the end of the year, but a negative balance carries over. Just one more example of the true worthlessness of the FC (soon to be "bonus points") program.

I agree that FC is worthless now. Used to be fun when it could be used on box sets to pay for the whole set. Is the soon to be "bonus points" program the same as it is now. I good see why they changed the name since they took the fun out of "funcash".

Re: King of Queens Complete Series $17.97?

^AFAIK it is the same with a different name to protect the innocent... I've only received one email concerning the name change with no details other than you can still accumulate it in Jan. and it'll be "converted" to bonus points in Feb.

If anybody actually does get this to ship at this price and doesn't want it, I'd love to buy it from you, obviously at a profit to you. Please keep me in mind as this plays out and don't hesitate to PM me. Sincere thanks in advance.

So, wait a second... You knew about this discounted deal well before this thread was started.

Spoiler:
If I had stumbled upon this, I might have been tempted to order it and keep quiet, thinking that CH might be more apt to cancel an order when the set in question starts selling like hotcakes

To be fair, I posted the price increase in this thread. However, that was one of the many posts that got purged during the database error from last week.

I noticed that too and started to take him to task for using a B1G1 code 'cause the "free" title really cost $11.98... *then* I noticed the date of his order. I'd have probably done the same thing never stopping to think the price would drop further...
