DD/DVDPlanet movies not available through CH?
Anyone has any ideas or lists on movies not available through CH that they are getting on the 25% off deals through DD or DVD Planet?
I suppose, any blockbusters/must haves to get that CH won't carry?

This is a good idea for a thread. I have went into the most recent database from the Data Miner, and extracted the Studios list. Here's the current list of all the different studios found in the 10/18 database. If anybody knows any big studios (besides Disney/Buenavista/...) that aren't carried, it might be relatively easy to make a list of good titles to be on the lookout for outside the club during the holiday season.
I included the number of titles and broke the studios into 4 groups, based on the number of titles they have at CH.
Studios with over 500 titles at CH:
1161 Columbia Tristar Home Video
0661 Foxvideo
1034 MCA
0731 MGM/UA Home Video
0748 Paramount
1492 Warner
Studios with between 100 and 499 titles at CH:
0185 Anchor Bay
0156 Artisan
0128 Arts & Entertainment Video
0151 BBC
0365 CBS Product Through Paramount
0152 Dreamworks
0110 Image Entertainment
0229 Lions Gate
0296 Lions Gate Home Entertainment
0259 MGM/Turner
0347 New Line Home Entertainment
0127 Sony Pictures Classics
0209 Turner Home Entertainment
Studios with between 11 and 99 titles at CH:
0046 Acorn
0022 Ardustry Home Entertainment
0017 BCI Eclipse
0017 Blue Underground
0083 First Look Home Entertainment
0082 Funimation Entertainment
0054 Goldhil

0027 Showtime Home Entertainment
0018 Studio Home Entertainment
0059 Ventura Home Entertainment Inc
0091 Weinstein Company

Good idea on the studio's list! I guess links since the list is so long would work better?
Any other studios that CH doesn't carry?
The listings work well as they are done chronoligically.
Here is a link to Touchstone movies from the IMDB:

Here is a link to Miramax movices:

Well... looking up pricing on DD and DVD Planet... non CH titles are generally still cheaper through Amazon "more buying choices" and choose "new".
Would still like a listing of Non-CH studios that I can look up on IMDB.
Lots of good titles out there.

Figured I'd bring this back up since it's been awhile.

Re: DD/DVDPlanet movies not available through CH?
CH has been irritatingly skipping Blu-ray versions of some new titles that they are carrying Standard Def versions of. The two I noticed were "Rachel Getting Married" and "Synecdoche New York". Would have bough them both in the last B1G1, now I'll have to wait for the Big Sale.
They're also not carrying the new Three Stooges collections, so I'll be picking Vol. 5 from DVD Planet this summer.

Another irritant from Columbia House is that they've taken to only carrying the single disk editions of many films, like My Bloody Valentine 3D, Babylon, AD, The Spirit, and others.

What happened to The Wrestler? It came out yesterday and it's a Fox title. Should be available, but it's not listed anywhere. I thought this was previously listed in the "At The Box Office" section, and was available as an email notification once it was available.
Anyone have any idea why this might not be available?

Re: DD/DVDPlanet movies not available through CH?
Following up on what zombeaner said, here are some recent SE versions that I know of that CH doesn't seem to be carrying:
Batman: Gotham Knight (this one and the next one were the first ones I noticed that they only carried the single-disc version of)
Justice League: The New Frontier
Hitman
Punisher: War Zone
Spirit
Wonder Woman
X-Files: I Want to Believe
I was actually thinking of starting a new thread about this, but I wasn't sure how widespread this is.
On the other hand (and on an unrelated note), CH is carrying the Centennial Edition movies that Paramount has been releasing, and you can actually get most of them as enrollment selections!

Those make excellent enrollments. I just started a new account the other day and picked up every one that's available so far.

Can't speak to the others, but isn't the only difference between 1- and 2-disk MY BLOODY VALENTINE, that one is a flipper, and the other has the 3-D version on one disk and the 2-D version on the other?
