When will Blu-ray become available for enrollment?

Hey all,
Sorry if this has been asked before, and if so, please redirect me and delete this thread.
Anyway, I read a few weeks ago that CH Canada has blu-ray available for enrollment, and I was wondering if there were and expectations/guesses when they will be available for enrollment in the U.S. THanks for any help!

I hope soon. I would start joining again when they do.

When they do become available is when I start looking for a BR player and virtually stop buying SD-DVD. As it is my enrollments have become fewer and further between since I have no back catalog titles on my wish list. So the upgrade process, along with the trickle of new releases, could begin. So yeah, it will be a paradigm shift in how I buy DVDs. I don't hold out hope for a typical 9 for 2 SD-DVD type deal, but anything will be better than what there is now through CH, let alone any other vendor.

Does anyone know the terms of the deal to get BR enrollments with CH Canada?

My guess is that Columbia House won't use Blu-ray Discs as enrollments in the regular club but will create a special BD club similar to the TV Edition of the DVD club. Since BDs are likely more expensive for CH to purchase, it doesn't seem likely that they would be used as 49¢ enrollments anytime soon.

Has the mention about BDs being eligible for enrollment in the Canadian club ever been confirmed? Might have been a glitch.

Certainly possible it was a glitch, I just know that I did see the site myself with blu-ray titles available.

I did a little digging and saw some boards where people were getting coupons in there enrollment deliveries instead of the BD titles they ordered, and the coupons were only good for SD DVDs. That makes it sound like it was a glitch, but the evidence is still circumstantial only.

Yup, that's the same discussion I saw, and sure enough when I went to check it did have that offer on the website. Not anymore though...
