This is my attempt to resurrect D-Ball’s “Not Yet Available For Enrollment” thread. Please be aware that it is an inexact science and the list may be incomplete. If there are any major titles that I missed or any other titles that you would like on the list, then post here and I will add them.
Artisan, Screen Media, Hart Sharp Video, Columbia/Tri-Star, Fox, Sony Pictures, Lion's Gate/Trimark, Hart Sharp Video, Paramount, Questar, Turner Home Entertainment, Universal, MCA, Warner Bros., and Weinstein Studios titles usually become available for enrollment 3 months after their release dates. A&E, Anchor Bay, BBC, CBS Entertainment, Docurama, DreamWorks, Maverick Entertainment, New Line, MGM, MPI, New Video, Funimation Entertainment, Goodtimes Home Entertainment, MPI, and Wellspring titles usually become available after 2 months. Pre-1986 Warner Bros. titles that were acquired from MGM also become available after 2 months. [Universal catalog titles have started appearing after 2 months, 9-30-07.] [Paramount catalog titles seem to be two months as of 4-21-08.] Paramount new theatrical releases used to become available after 6 months but it now appears they are using 3 months. Tartan Video, BCI Eclipse, Image Entertainment, Orion Home Video, Shout Home Entertainment, and Lightyear Video titles become available for enrollment on release day. First Look Home Entertainment titles usually become available on release. Available dates listed as “overdue” might be Special Editions that will not become available for enrollment for the foreseeable future (or they might just be a Columbia House glitch). Might be worth trying these on a phone order.... New additions are in boldface. Newly available enrollments are in orange (and will be deleted soon). If there are any errors or changes that need to be made, please let me know. “Missing” means that the title is in the main Columbia House catalog but can’t be found on the enrollment website in the search database. However, many of these titles WILL become available for enrollment, it just will be difficult or impossible to find them on the enrollment website. As they are found, they will be removed from this list.

Outstanding work lizard.
One title I was personally tracking is Stalag 17 SE, which I had becoming available on 6/21 as opposed to 9/21 (not a new theatrical release). |

^I added it today. I have been working through the CH list of new releases a few pages at a time and got to "P" this morning. It is slow process because I have to check each title to see if it is already available for enrollment and then have to check the release date with another web site. Then the data fields are entered into a Word file that has the table format information for the list and into my spreadsheet for record keeping purposes.
If there is a way to automate this process, I am not aware of it. The data mining I can't automate, even if I did know how to program it, because I am on a modem. So, it takes time to find the data and assemble this list. Whether I will try to keep it updated I haven't decided. But at least we will have a snapshot of what's not yet available for enrollment at the present time. |

^Out of Order is the only Showtime title in the current list, but my source for release dates (DVD Empire) shows it as 1/13/04, so I don't know what to make of it.

Yeah, sadly I had noticed, I checked yesterday. No clue what the deal is. I doubt these are 6 month enrollments, so this is probably one of those titles that just never becomes available for enrollment, or will stagger in later than usual. I don't care about this title, but I would like to fill in the blanks about Showtime enrollment availability. No big deal, not like there's a lot of titles to consider here.

Was surprised to see a Universal title show up for pre-order:
Double Indemnity: SE 4475307 The pre-order price is $19.95, so it would make a good fulfillment title. I was hoping they would have This Island Earth on their website since that is also from Universal and streets the same day, but I couldn't find it. Its list price is only $14.98, so it wouldn't count for fulfillment anyway. |
