All I can do is to keep listing titles as I find them. I really don't want to have to vet each title to see if it has disappeared for some mysterious reason.
I was just wondering when you added it, I certainly wasn't suggesting updating all the changes going on. I'm sure it will just show up again sooner or later.

Yeah, the catalog is indeed all messed up lately. Also seemingly messed up is the release date for 12 Angry Men. I saw this and all kinds of the other Decades collections at Walmart today, out already!

Where's The Jazz Singer? I wanted to get it as a fulfillment, but Columbia House doesn't have it in their system, even though it's been out for 2 days. They've really slacked in getting the classics in stock.

These show up today, but as pre-orders for 11/19 (which is a Monday) and even though all the Kubrick films actually come out today.

Not sure what's exactly going on, but it should all resolve itself soon enough. Also keep a lookout for the other Kubrick titles!

2001: A Space Odyssey Special Edition (Pre-Order) 4840609 1798919 $24.95
The Shining Special Edition (Pre-Order) 4840708 1798920 $19.95

They also have the new Kubrick Collection up too, though of course this will never be available for enrollment, but it's a pretty good price at $47.97

Ditto for Looney Tunes Golden Collection - Volume 5 (4841706), and at $38.97 even accounting for $6.99 shipping is not outrageously priced, particulalry assuming another high priced B1G1 eligible title is tossed in with it.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind Ultimate Edition (Pre-Order) has been changed to a boxset special price structure @ $23.97. It is a 3-disc set, so it looks like this won't be available after all

^^ Alot of them are already! Here's a quote from a post on the "fox titles" thread:

"Just applied for a new, all-FOX account:

28 Weeks Later
The Hills Have Eyes 2
Speed
The Towering Inferno
Wrong Turn
Point Break
The Rocky Horror Picture Show"

My guess is that anything that isn't a box/tv/series/collection set is good to go.

A little too early to tell, but it looks like it might be 2 months. If Commando and Wall Street are available on around the 18th of November, then it looks like a 2 month wait. There is one title (28 weeks later) that is available way earlier than expected, but it appears to be a fluke.

^Added that one. Don't know why it isn't showing up in the pre-order list at Columbia House. I wonder how many other pre-orders are missing from the list?

Lizard, thanks for keeping this list updated!

I found a few possible mistakes (and some very minor formatting problems) in your table. I made a little database, and threw your data into it so I could sort it in different ways and find things more easily, and I ran across these:

These all have dates in 2007 that I think should be 2008:
Funny Face 50th Anniversary Edition
Hatchet Unrated Director's Cut (Pre-Order)
Kings of South Beach
Princess Bride 20th Anniversary Edition
Shrek the Third (WS)

This has the "/" in the wrong place in the date:
Carmen Electra's Aerobic Striptease: Vegas Strip (FS) (Pre-Order)

These are still listed as Pre-Orders, but it is past their Release Date now (maybe they're available, or maybe they're overdue?):
Babel Special Collector's Edition (Pre-Order)
Blades of Glory (WS) (Pre-Order)
Derailed (Pre-Order)
Superman Doomsday (Pre-Order)

Possible formatting differences (could be just from how I imported the text, too):
Deck the Halls (Pre-Order): extra space at the end of the the Available Date
Deck the Halls (Pre-Order): extra space at the end of the Title

More possible formatting differences (these will be disappearing from the list soon, anyway, but...):
Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film: extra space at the end of the Available Date
Drunken Monkey: extra space at the end of the Available Date
Griffin & Phoenix: extra space at the end of the Title

Not sure if these are problems, but the Available Date is the same as the Release Date (I don't know which companies these are coming from, so maybe the 0 months is OK--but I noticed them so thought I might as well post them):
Blonde and Blonder (Pre-Order)
King of California (Pre-Order)
Paris, Je T'Aime (Pre-Order)
Strays (Pre-Order)
The Perfect Witness (Pre-Order)

I appreciate your search for typos and errors. After a year and a half of dealing with this 30,000 character document, including more than a thousand cut and paste operations, it is hard to keep track of it all. [If anyone wants to know what the table looks like to me, just hit the quote button on one of the three posts, #191, 192, or 193, and scroll through it. The formatting is complex.]

I deleted the pre-order designation. I try to run a date search each Tuesday for DVDs newly released but sometimes I forget or the search misses one.

I don't see these in my Word document. There are usually spaces around the data items because they are in the template I use. This allows me to double click the template entry and replace it with the CH entry without selecting the adjacent formatting characters. The only time I rigorously expunge a trailing space is after the selection number. This allows me to double click a selection number in the table to paste it in the search window at Columbia House to check the title for enrollment status. The CH search will give a null result if I have a space following the selection number. Yes, I do all this stuff manually, I don't have a way to automate it. After thousands of times, it gets old. [By the way, I assume that everyone knows that double clicking a word or number will select it. Did you know that triple clicking a table entry will select the entire title or line?]
I have, indeed, deleted these now available entries.
Not sure if these are problems, but the Available Date is the same as the Release Date (I don't know which companies these are coming from, so maybe the 0 months is OK--but I noticed them so thought I might as well post them):
Blonde and Blonder (Pre-Order)
King of California (Pre-Order)
Paris, Je T'Aime (Pre-Order)
Strays (Pre-Order)
The Perfect Witness (Pre-Order)
As you might guess, I do track studios in a spreadsheet and these First Look DVDs should become available for enrollment on release date, although that doesn't always happen.

I don't mind list related posts in this thread. It doesn't grow very quickly as a general discussion thread does, for example, the sale offer code thread.

What's up with "Day Watch" showing up as a pre-order. Didn't that come out weeks ago?

There is some sort of delay in them getting some of these Fox titles. Like they've had the single disc Night at the Museum for a while, but now the 2 disc is showing up as a pre-order. Same them happened with FF: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Because Fox titles are new to Columbia House, they are listing some of them as "pre-orders" in the CH system, even though they were released some time ago. The same is true for most of the recent HD DVDs and BDs — from several studios — that have been added.

With the Fox titles a number of new "fullscreen" versions of movies that CH already carries in widescreen have been added. My policy is to not waste my time listing "fullscreen" titles when there is an OAR widescreen version available.

Is Elizabeth: The Golden Age missing from the list?
