I am new to this forum. I have been directed here from the generic DVD Talk forum as I had a favor to ask from a member of the Disney Club. I have recently just found out that Rocketman was available but only as a Club exclusive. My friend and I have loved this movie ever since it came out, however, as we are not members of the club, we'd have no way to get it.

Would anybody be able to purchase 2 copies of this for me and my friend (from what I have been reading in this thread, I'm assuming it would count as two items on the commitment so that would be a nice tradeoff)?

I would GREATLY appreciate this!

Since Lost S1 is $50, would it count as 2 fulfillments?

I was thinking of joining the Disney club, however, I was just wondering how long it typically takes for someone to receive their DVDs. Does anyone who is already a member know the average delivery time?

It sometimes does take awhile from the time you submit an order. I recall having to wait almost 2 weeks for a shipping confirmation. After that the package (bubble mailer for 3 DVDs) took about 5 days. It ships from WI.

I'm in the process of joining the club right now (came here to research codes first). I did a search on the site but didn't find ROCKETMAN as an option on their site. If it is somehow available once I'm in the club, I'll gladly order it for you (will just charge you the exact cost plus the shipping charge). I'll let you know if it's available.

UPDATE: I just joined the club, so I'll let you know if ROCKETMAN is made available to me. I joined mainly to get DuckTales: Treasure of the Lost Lamp which is a club exclusive.

Well, I just signed in for the first time and I do see that ROCKETMAN is available as an exclusive. I'll gladly order it for you. Email me if you are still interested in a copy.

In looking at the cost of a dvd they range from 19.95 to $21.95
What is the code to get 5 free. The only code listed here (613005) seems to come up with 4 for free. Or has it changed now?

I just got new codes in the mail today.

Code: 71860 or 71815
Save 50% on additional movies (up to 3 discounted titles) when you purchase 1 at regular club prices ($19.95 or more.) Discounted titles do not count towards purchase agreement.
Expires: 7/31

There's also a new code up on the website:

Code: 71895
Get 20% of your entire order when you buy two movies at regular club prices.
Expires: 7/31

Also, there's a couple of additions to the Disney Exclusive line-up:

Zorro (1957-'59): Season 1 Volume 1 starring Guy Williams containing episodes 1-8 and Season 1 Volume 2 containing episodes 9-16. Both DVDs are priced $21.95 and are full screen.

The following two DVDs are priced $19.95 and are full screen
Robert Louis Stevenson's Kidnapped starring Peter Finch and James MacArthur and The Story of Robin Hood which is from the director of Swiss Family Robinson.

All of the new exclusives are before my time and not of any interest to me, but I'm sure someone wants them.

I received my VIP membership confirmation by postal mail today along with a B1G1 Offer. I chose "Chicken Little" w/ 3-D lenticular cover card (available when ordered before 7/31) and "Lady & the Tramp" 2-disc edition for $26.90 shipped.

This is for fulfilled (VIP) accounts ONLY. I'm not sure if it was account specific -- I used mine online even though it came with a postcard reply form.

The BOGO didn't work for me. It might only be for newly fulfilled accounts.

71810 is another buy one get 50% off additional titles that expires 7/31. It might only be for fulfilled accounts.

...or even as a fulfillment. Narnia was released almost exactly 1 month after My Neighbor Totoro, yet it is now 5 weeks after Totoro became available at the DMC for fulfillment, and no Narnia.

Anybody care to hazard a guess if/when Narnia will show up at DMC?

Thanks,

Tufnel

I'd just wait on a FREE shipping code and grab some $19.95 - $21.95 selections. Those 10% - 20% off codes sometimes take the prices below the $19.95 minimum and thus nullifies it counting towards your required purchases.

They say 7-10 business days, but tack on 2-3 more for them to actually get the product in the mail. It's similar to the DDD process, which I think is too slow, but I'm not willing to pay extra for quicker shipping so I guess I can't complain.

Chronicles of Narnia is on the cover of the latest club mailing AND the new members enrollment site.

The latest four Disney Treasures are in the mailer too for the first time. Should be on the members website very soon...

I've been trying to get the current code (20% off after buying one at regular price) to work on the website, but it won't take any codes. Anyone having a similar problem?

In the past the Treasures multipack has counted as 1 fulfillment per Treasure (3 treasure multipack = 3 fulfillments). Don't know about the others.

TaleSpins and Darkwing Duck?

What are the chances they offer the new Tale Spins and Darkwing Duck Volume 1 on the movie club?

That entitles you to select 4 movies for FREE. You agree to purchase 5 more within 2 years (minimum price of $19.95 ea. DVD). Take a bonus selection at $14.95 and lower your commitment to 4 movies within the next 2 years. You then are entitled to choose another movie at $9.95. The $9.95 selection does not lower your purchase commitment any further -- it remains at 4.

Pay with your credit card (debit works as well even though they state it won't) and shipping/processing will only be $1. It's also the only payment method available when signing up online.

Total cost $25.90 for 6 selections.
