Just ran an update today and sent the file to Basaro. Hopefully he'll post it soon. It has this week's updates (as far as I can tell!).

Thanks Brian. One comment: since the text file is created as a CSV file, would it make sense to change the ".txt" extension to a ".csv" extension on your website?

^Actually it is a csv formatted file, but is delivered to me as a .txt file. Is there a reason why you would want it one way over the other?

Sorry, I don't think I was clear. My question was that since it IS a csv-formatted file, could the extension on the file be changed from ".txt" to ".csv". That way, when I download it (Save Target As ...), it will be saved as a file with a ".csv" extension. What I have to do now is to change the extension after I download the file.

Thanks.

I understand, perhaps I wasn't clear myself.

Why does it matter to you what extension the file is? I assume you just want the file association for something like excel?

I actually prefer the .txt file myself, so I'll work on including both files. I'll try to get this done for the next update.

In the meantime, why can't you change the extension of the file when you're downloading (in the save dialog), rather than having to rename the file after downloading it?

When you do "Save Target As ..." you can change the name of the entire file including the extension *or* just the extension at that time if you wish. No need to do it later. It only takes a few extra seconds to do when saving the file.

As an argument for leaving it as .txt on the site if you simply click on the file to open it, with a .txt extension it will open in your browser. If it has a .csv extension the application associated with .csv will start to open/view the file. If you do not happen to have a spreadsheet application (unlikely considering the many free options available) you'll have more problems viewing the file.

Good point about changing the extension in the dialog box. I'll do that. Thanks again for hosting this service

Didn't get an update this week, but I did make some changes to the db last week if no one noticed. I added sections for:
1. Blu-ray
2. HD DVD
3. Enrollments
4. Non-Enrollments
5. Regular priced items not available for enrollment

Just wanted to voice my appreciation for your work. The list came in very handy during the recent B1G4, and when I was trying to make sure I generated and then used my FC for the best stuff befire May 2nd. You saved me a lot of time searching and compiling my own data. So, thanks!

New data import available (thanks again jhester).

I haven't done a design update in almost a month, have to turn on that search feature! Work and chores have kept me busy, but it's died down a little, I should be able to merge those changes this weekend.
If anyone has any requests other than the search function, please post.

not sure. Only thing about my server is it is running on port 85 instead of 80 that http usually uses. My ISP blocks port 80 outbound traffic, so I have to run on something else, hence 85. If for some reason you or your ISP is blocking 85 inbound traffic, that could be the issue. Other than that I have no idea. What kind of error do you get?

^, yeah sounds like you're getting blocked. Sorry, nothing I can do about that. Try using a different isp if possible.

My isp has changed hands a few times over the years and I've not checked to see if they've opened up port 80 recently. One of these days, I'll check it out and if so, I'll be able to run my server on the port it supposed to be on. Until then, I'm sticking with 85.

Hey all, jhester gave me a new file almost 2 weeks ago, but I've had some pc issues and haven't been able to import it. Tonight at least I will add the file to the news section of the site and post that for now. Sorry for the delay.

Also now that the ch site has changed, this might be the last update for a while. Not sure if jhester has worked around that yet.

I am working on a new dataminer. Not only did CH change how their site works, but they also assigned new link numbers (not selection numbers, don't worry) to each of their movies. This means I have to remine the whole thing again. Also their new site does not allow me to find new additions to their offerings as easily as before. Be patient. I will likely come up with something.
