Smallville the complete series for 174.99??? That's a really good deal considering the retail is like 3 or 4 hundred normally.

I frequently see Smallville seasons on sale for $9.99, so $174.99 for 10 seasons doesn't strike me as that great.

Yeah, that should be the bluray set price if they made one. I think they know they can fleece superman collectors for a while at these high prices though. Too bad the later seasons turned into pure garbage which makes the price even more outrageous.

I think the days of dvd sets at >$10 per season are numbered though, or at least I hope so for my wallet. Even bluray seems to be getting dumped cheap a lot lately. But that might be bad for collectors since it will be harder for studios to justify releasing these sets if there is less profit. We will see less and less physical releases. Streaming is taking a big toll on the disc business.

I'm tempted to get the Fraggle Rock set, although it doesn't show up as available in stores on its website. I've heard varying reports on the quality of the set (some discs not playing), although not as bad as the first set.

As I once again experienced this week, they are frequently wrong regarding what is & isn't in store. I picked up SNL S5, & the web site said not available in store.

Never believe their inventory website as I found that out the hard way myself, where they say it's not available at the store but turns up to be and more. Wish they would get that feature fixed on there to become more accurate in scope.

The website will not show as in-stock at a store if the quantity on hand is less than 3. A more accurate way to check is to call the store, and give them the SKU (which you can get on the website) and ask them how many they have on hand. Of course, there are no guarantees that this number is completely accurate, but it will give you a better idea than the website.

I'm so tempted to get 24: The Complete Series, even though I have the individual releases. I'm a sucker for having it all in one box and with consistent packaging.
