Found something different at the Bridgewater, Mass. store. A celebration of 40 years of Monty Python...
Not the Messiah: He's a Very Naughty Boy...$5
It was the one and only copy.

Pearl st Tacoma Wa got 2 boxes of aprox 25 titles each; 1 @ $3 & 1 @ $5. All are junk that have been through in the last few months. Only 1 copy of each title.
The racks were 99% empty of dvd's.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
The Seekonk, Mass. store had a smattering of different titles I don't remember seeing before...
Boogeyman 2...$3
Fragments...$3
High Noon...$3
Lies and Illusions...$3
Me & Orson Welles...$3
That's Entertainment III...$3
These Old Broads...$3
Just For You/Here Comes the Groom (Bing Crosby 2-pack)...$5
One More Time (Sammy Davis JR.)...$5
The High Noon I listed here is a newer title, 2008 or 2009. It's one of those Nora Roberts book turned into a movie flicks.

The $2.88 would be great, but the stores near me have pretty much nothing & I've already heard there will not be no truck in my town this week, & that next week's truck is scheduled to have no dvd's.

This week in S. Plainfield NJ, grabbed:
THESE OLD BROADS (Liz Taylor, Debbie Reynolds) $3
ME & ORSON WELLES (Zac Efron, Claire Danes) $3
There was only one of each. Not sure if that's what was left, or if that's all they got.

Tacoma, Wa. Specifically Pearl Street as of late. I have been told that the lack of dvd's in several local stores is due to the computer system changeover.

I actually bought 5-6 copies of Dirty Sanchez. I didn't keep ANY of them. They went straight to Best Buy for the trade-in promo.

At least Big Lots' computer system is not DOS based. It did look rather Windows 3.1-ish last time I looked, but it could still be a more recent Windows software with a mediocre GUI. BB's computer system's GUI isn't exactly the prettiest either.
I think there are still a few retailers who still use DOS based systems under Windows for their POS systems (point of sale in this case even though the other expression may be appropriate too). Unfortunately I can't remember which retailers they were.
TI-99/4A was my first computer. I learned to program it quite well and wrote a lot of cool programs (for the time). Then they all got destroyed... not that I'd ever use them if I had them except for nostalgia, but who has time for nostalgia with work and family? I still have a TI-99/4A system and a bunch of 5.25" SS/SD disks... all of which have probably died an untimely death (due to the magnetic particles coming off due to cheap glue) and rendered the hardware useless. Same with other systems I have packed away... C64, A500, IIGS, 130XL. Actually the 130XL is unique since someone gave me an interface which allows a PC to emulate a drive so I was able to back up all of my disks to the PC, but the rest I never have the time to find a way to transfer the disks before they die (died). Sad that all of that stuff just went to waste, just like my LDs. I'd sell the stuff except I'd get almost nothing, so why bother unless I run out of room. My VHS tapes are going in the trash first... if I ever get time to go through them all.
Back on topic... I guess I'll be going to BL this Sunday for their 20% off. I assume they will accept printouts of the coupons as they have in the past? We'll probably just get household items though. I'd be shocked to find any DVDs I want to buy.

^If you're a member of the "Buzz Club" you can go Saturday starting at 5pm and get 20% with just your card - no coupon needed. Get a jump on the non-club people who'll come in Sunday with the coupon.

Cool. I don't know why anyone wouldn't be a Buzz Club member since it's free, but if that means I don't need a coupon I might go Saturday night. I didn't see Saturday mentioned on the Sunday coupon, though BL frequently does this. I'll call my store on Saturday to make sure my store is doing this too. Thanks.

Has anyone actually received an e-mail about this F&F event yet? The only notification was on this forum and their Twitter page.
Don't forget this week's $2.88 special on $3.00 DVDs ends this Saturday.
