Don't understand why anyone would sell this DVD without a slipcover, anyone unfamiliar with this movie wouldn't have a clue what it was, as evidenced by berigan. Makes no sense. -kd5-

Went on Saturday, hoping to score some of the $10 TV shows, but only found one: The Fugutive (I think it was S1 V2). Highly disappointed. Dunno if my stores had em and sold em already, or didn't get them yet. But I'll keep checking!
I did buy Reno 911: Miami, and Dirty Sanchez (only $1) which I quickly traded-in to Best Buy for $5 off a BD.

Looking for some info on a dvd packaging if anyone might be able to help.

I seen the Friday The 13th remake at Big Lots. The "Killer Cut" version at
several different locations over the last couple of months or longer. Had
held off on picking it up because of the $5 price coupled with the slashed
barcode on the back.

But I have seen several copies over the last month that are packaged in like
a paper box type of gift packaging gimmick. There were like two other titles
besides the Friday the 13th that had this type of packaging also.

Anyone know if the DVD inside the packaging is also going to have a slashed barcode
or if these are previously viewed? I wasn't really sure what chain or were Big Lots
picked these up from. But I have a 20% off coupon I will be using this week and
figured I might grab a copy for $4. But wanted to check in here first.

Thanks in advance for any info.

At least 2 of the local store managers seem to be getting really frustrated also, it effects their bottom line.

Went by Big Lots for the second time this week....I was looking for the $9 k-cups but looked at the dvds both times.

Nothing new. Same old stuff as always.

They need to clearance out the old stock or send it off to another liquidator. It has to be hurting business.

Agreed. I was at big lots today for the first time since before Christmas and noticed more and more $5 price tags than what I'm used to seeing there. It's a shame, there's a bunch of titles I would've blind bought if they were $3 instead of $5... Oh well, on the plus side I have a huge backlog to catch up on anyway.

A few years ago I picked up The Iceman Interviews for $3; now it's out of print and going for $35+... that's what I call a Big Lots deal.

Those $10 TV shows aren't all that great of a price either. Our BigLots had Heroes (S1 I believe) for $10 when in fact you could buy it (and S2, S3, & S4) for $9.99 ea., any day of the week. And if you waited, Target would put them on sale for $8.99 (they've done that several times so far), so why would I pay $10 at BigLots?

Jericho S2 for $10? What's the point of buying S2 when you/they don't even have S1?

Ah well, I have numerous DVDs I haven't marked as Watched yet, so that should keep me busy for awhile. Apparently these B&M stores aren't very interested in selling DVDs lately. -kd5-

I hate to think it but if Big Lots doesn't come through in a big way real soon, they might never regain their dvd consumer base.

Customers went there for the prices and they have started to regularly raise those as of late.

It's not the value it once was. They have begun to overstock and overprice titles making the stock freeze up. The company isn't inclined to place orders for more titles when what they have isn't moving.

Just got back from big lots. Had a huge pile but put most of the 3 dollar ones back, at least until I get my paycheck. Did pick up a few things though.

I went to the 2155 Pacific Coast Highway, Lomita CA store. Pretty much the same titles that have been there, though they seemed to have gotten more of some of them in. I did see a few movies that were new,

Same here. The store closest to me hasn't got anything much in weeks. The manager told me nothing new today, & she expects no dvd's next week either.

kent Wa told me they did get 1 of the 2 sided $3 on one side, $5 on the other racks. Didn't seem like enough to drive that far, though i may take a peak tomorrow with the sale.
