One tip:

My 2 local BL's do not have the Halloween or Xmas discs in the DVD racks. They are in the Halloween display area and in the Christmas decorations aisle.

^Thanks for the tip! Found K&L with slipcover. It's a cut out though...

I found the Dracula 75th Anniversary set too. Also saw the Wolfman. Has anyone seen any other Universal Monsters releases?

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I saw a new shipment with $3 and $5 yellow stickers today. It was either a small shipment or they just didn't have enough room to put more out. Nothing really stood out to me except for George Wallace (Two-Disc Special Edition) for $5. I had a $5 off $15 coupon and was going to pick up that and Mission Hill, but I couldn't find anything else I wanted, so I walked out empty handed. They also finally pulled some of the clearance titles and put them in a cart at the front of the store with a sign saying 90% off. They might have missed some titles, but at least they took out the ESPN three pack that was taking up a lot of space. Until they pulled them, the must have had at least a dozen copies which took up about half a shelf.

I had a rewards coupon ($5 off $20) that was expiring Sunday and it took me almost an hour to find enough stuff that was worth buying. I mostly bought food items (nuts, chips) and a few cleaning supplies. No dvds. they used to have some pretty solid bargains, but these days I can get better deals in the grocery store.

I have that. The book is much better, but the film is worth watching.

I haven't been in a BL in weeks. I literally used to spend $1500 a month on dvd's in their stores.

It really depends now on the location. I think they used to get more similar shipments when Big Lots was a much smaller chain. There are now consistent differences in what some stores receive. I know of one location that only gets one or two new boxes of DVDs every quarter, while another location gets practically everything cited in this thread. You have to find the right location.

Puyallup got most of these latest titles (saw them today). While it's been awhile since I've dropped by Kent, this summer and early fall they seemed to be getting nothing...

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Hit the local (Pearl Street) BL today for paper plates & paper towels.

DVD stock was low, though they (at least used to) get deliveries on Wednesday so that may be partially why.

A fairly nice $5 xmas section (VERY similar titles to last year), & a few titles new to me at $5 (I won't pay $5 for marginal stuff...)

Bought 2 @ $3.00: Fallen Angel (Fox Noir, very cool!) & an 80 minute best of Bugs Bunny. Oddly they had several other similar Warner Toons sets, but only Bugs was $3; the rest were $5.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I hit up 4 BL yesterday and couldn't find Like Crazy at all.

A couple that have recently been mentioned like Antony & Cleopatra, Grudge 3, the Essential Bugs (and as was mentioned at least 1 other that looked similar to that [but I never particularly followed those characters, sorry]).

I did find a bunch of other stuff that I already have, or don't quite need, but don't recall being mentioned (though it's been awhile since I've really been checking the BL, so maybe at least a few have been there and just haven't excited anyone enough to list them? And I finally saw Trauma S1, for the first time ever.

Rebel w/out a Cause - 2-Disc
X-Men: Origins - Wolverine - 2-Disc
Get Him to the Greek - 2-Disc
Saturday Night Fever 30th Anniv.
Gangster Squad
Grudge 2
Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life
Deliverance Special Ed.
There's Something about Mary (the slightly nicer version in the cardboard box)
Sweetwater (just like Dollar Tree had except for $3 instead of $1)
The Lucky One (the premise of which never made sense to me, isn't that pro-stalker, and the guy is only a "lucky" catch cause he's hot? Substitute in a 800 pound socially awkward dude saying "I saw your picture" and wouldn't that be a whole other film?
And a Mae West film which I think was My Little Chickadee, but could be mis-remembering.

I remember seeing the SNF, but it was at $5.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Hit Bridgeport tonight. They had more stock than I've seen in a LONG time. The clerk said they had been told to expect lots of dvd's for xmas. That's the good news.

The less good news is most of the $5 would have been $3 2 years ago, & most of the $3 titles were junk.

Highlights:

For those into it, there was a ton of $8 90's & 00's TV box sets.

$5
Stanwyck in Xmas In Connecticut

$3
42nd street
Purple Rain 2 disc (1 copy)
Mists Of Avalon
The Orphanage

And if ANYONE hasn't picked it up by now, they had a lot of copies of Shock Treatment (Rocky Horror sequel) @ $3.

Karloff & Lugosi Horror Classics:2 disc set for $5
Has 4 movies: The Walking Dead / Frankenstein 1970 / You'll Find Out / Zombies on Broadway
