I've never picked up Space Jam (I have seen it), so it's a maybe for me, but................. would I really watch it before any of the other 1500 or so discs I haven't watched yet?

It's worth picking up for $4.99, I would definitely grab one if the closest store wasn't an hour away. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be this price or cheaper elsewhere

Thanks for the early prices OP

Finally can get a copy of Chuck S4 since its under $20. And $5 might be the perfect time to finally upgrade Space Jam to DVD.

Re: Best Buy DVDs (March 25th - 31st, 2012)

There is a new TGG repackaged triple feature of the original MGM Midnite Movie releases of three Price/Corman/Poe films: THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM, TALES OF TERROR and THE RAVEN, all for only $4.99! A great deal.

Note that THE RAVEN says it has music subs though. Not sure what or how much. And I believe PIT is non-anamorphic.

According to a review on Amazon, "...the bad news is that TGG direct has opted to squeeze all three films onto one single-sided dual layer DVD, and to save space, all are interlaced transfers."

Wow, thanks for that information! Back it goes.

EDIT: Peep, where is that review? I couldn't find it on the item page at Amazon. ???

Re: Best Buy DVDs (March 25th - 31st, 2012)

For that Corman/Poe triple feature... I bought it a couple of months ago and scanned through PIT against my standalone MGM Midnite Movies release and they were basically identical. The standalone version's transfer didn't look very good compared to a copy that has 2 other movies on the disc. I'm by no means the be all end all of home theater but I generally know what I'm looking at and the $5 triple feature was worth getting for $1 after I sold my standalone copy.

Yes.
Per online support the add is a mis-print and only the single disc??

Well I printed out the web page and have the local add so if my online order is not the 3D I will take back to the store for exchange/refund.

Seth, thanks for that info. I have the PIT/USHER double with extras, so I'll be hanging onto that, but I don't have either TALES or RAVEN, so I may as well keep the triple for five bucks. I still haven't been able to confirm the post above about it being interlaced, so thanks for your eyewitness review.

Don't know, I would go to the store. If it doesn't work out, which it should (it's their ad). You wouldn't have that much trouble to go through. This is the combo release.

Here the image.

Re: Best Buy DVDs (March 25th - 31st, 2012)

Went into Best Buy today to get a few seasons of South Park for $12.99. The Best Buy I went to had all the South Parks at the end of a display aisle. The display had Seasons 1 through 4 priced @ $4.99. I only needed S4 but it rang up as $12.99, I showed the manager the display and I was charged only $4.99 for S4. I hope someone needs those seasons and get them for $4.99 each

I made my purchase at the Best Buy at the town center in Jacksonville, FL.
