I got mine from Amazon Friday, ordered about 3 weeks ago. It is a burned disk, purple surface. Did not work in my two (at least five years old) DVD player and player/recorder. It did work in my neighbors DVD players which is about a year old.

Sounds like Amazon needs to add "made on demand" to the product description. I hadn't even taken my copy out of the shrink wrap until I saw hilts post. At least on the plus side, it is dual layer media (7.7 GB file size on the DVD), so the video quality should probably be identical to the original release.

Try to rip it on your pc & reburn on quality media (Falcon, TY).

Thanks for the heads-up on this now being a DVD-R.

I ordered around the same time as hilts. It was backordered so long that I ended up canceling and purchased a used copy from a Marketplace seller for the same price. It was the regular version and came with the booklet.

It would be nice if Amazon would be a bit more up front about the increasing sale of burned discs. This is also becoming a large problem with CD Baby, who seem to have a policy of 0 disclosure of cdr's.
