Got these for $9.99 each (50% off) at Giant Tiger this week. Sale ends Dec. 31st. There's at least one title here that should come as a surprise, perhaps even to our American friends.


As far as Canadian deals go this year, Giant Tiger — for once — turned out to have more hidden gems than just about anywhere else (unless you were looking for the same recent Blu and DVD titles that have been on sale for the same prices throughout the year). Their boxed set sale featured a strong mix of TV show sets and movie collections such as the ones pictured. Definitely worth a look if you've got one nearby.

Late reply on this (not used to replies in this thread! ), but I usually check every day. They do send out emails, though, but those don't always include every special deal that may be active that day. The emails I receive usually focus DVD/Blu-ray, but I'm not sure if I signed up for that, or if that's what they send me based on my purchase history.

I went to the Real Canadian Superstore in Richmond, BC and found a dump bin containing several Mill Creek DVD 4 packs for $5, usually containing odd and forgotten Columbia Picture films like Leonard Part 6, Vibes, Hanky Panky, My Stepmother is an Alien, Hudson Hawk, Hollywood Homicide, The Fan, Hollow Man,
There's A Girl in My Soup, Physical Evidence, Vice Versa, The Freshman, A Fine Mess, The Last Detail and so on.

They also have the Mill Creek Touchstone Films in a 3 pack. Titles like Big Business, Life With Mikey, Last Dance, Fatherhood, White Squall, Another Stakeout etc.

The icing on top is that when I went to the cash register, they scanned at $4 each!
