Did one more with the other 2 relatively inexpensive items I looked at yesterday:

now B&N is saying my bank declined the card which is highly unlikely as there is plenty of funds in the account to cover a $27 order.......... & that has been confirmed with my online banking.
As I mentioned earlier, along with DD & Family video, B&N is usually more trouble than it's worth.

It usually takes them awhile. Just looking now, the things I ordered yesterday morning are now showing as shipped. B&N used to be faster, especially in the previous sales but it takes them awhile now.

ONLY on those items whose price online is $40.00 or greater AFTER the 50% discount. Some have had luck IN STORE on items regularly priced $40 or more AND in store, the $79.99 items ring up as as 50% off at $40.00 rather than at $39.99, as they do online.

I'm extremely happy with my purchase. I got a modest bump from the 10% discount, but the major thing was that I saved up for this one over a few months, and I knocked out the Criterion section of my wish list:

I made my first in-store purchases today and used the $5 off and 2 $8 off coupons on each of two orders. I love my local store. The guys that work there are knowlegable and helpful which is something I can't say about many other stores.

Most of what I want from Criterion, I already have so I just popped into B & N yesterday for a quick look-around and came out with Modern Times. Which I hadn't seen in over 40 years, so it was in many ways like seeing it for the first time.

Until the last time I went in there, I usually was too...when I went in last week, I recognized 2 others I'd met there on other occasions and they were customers, not people who work in B & N. We were all surprised to see each other.
