Great price. It's been on sale a few times in the past, but I'm not sure if it's ever been below $70.

Looks like this is the lowest it's ever been, according to the price history chart at camelcamelcamel.com. It was close very briefly last summer.

Never watched the show, but at this price for 25 discs of entertainment, that's a huge bargain. Should be great for a rainy day.

From what I've read on the Amazon reviews, it sounds like if you've already got the individual season sets, (like I do) there isn't anything additional on this set. Does anyone know for sure if that's the case?

While I don't regreat paying the $20 per-season that I did, ~$13.40 a season is a flat out steal.

Thanks for the tip. Love this show. It's a real pity that classic tv has been largely abandoned by cable channels - and smaller broadcast stations. Though HUB has surprised me with some classics like Batman and Happy Days.

Classic Films

If you are lucky enough to live in an area with ME TV or Antenna TV which are both over the air digial channels you can get many classic TV shows. ME TV has lots of CBS/Paramount and Fox shows. Antenna TV has primarily Sony/Columbia/Screen Gems stuff. It where classic TV is now.

In my opinion ME TV has the better line up but my area only has Antenna TV.

I purchased several of the individual seasons at DVD Planet for $15 each back in 2009. If they've been cheaper than that, I don't recall.

These discs are great, I bought seasons 1 and 2 at Costco soon after release, and 3-5 used from Gamestop when they were clearing out their DVD's... great stuff... only missing the reunion show when Alan asks Rob to write his eulogy.

In 2008, Season 2-5 were in a B1G1 at DD in August 2008. Picked them up for around 10 bucks each (w/ cashback).

But I always wanted the complete set and this is by far the best it's been.

Classic Films

That show was such a mistake. You just can't go back after so many years.
The characters can't be as they were and if they are not, what is the point of the show. In this case the show was just not funny and that was a shame.
The clip show done a few years earlier and included with the DVDs is much better. Still if you want to be complete I guess you would want this show.

Agreed. It was a huge misfire on every level and a sad coda to the series. For years Reiner resisted the temptation to do it, but something must have fired him up and it's a shame it did. He was right to refuse all those decades.

And I'm sorry, but Mary Tyler Moore has had so much face work done and her skin so tightly pinched and busting point stretched, she is frightening to look at nowadays. For heaven's sake, just be old!

But the complete set doesn't have the five cool lenticular covers, again IMHO another single season release package that trumps the complete series pack.

But to get it at that price for the whole set, I'm totally cool with the end result, lenticulars or not.
