Applied for one, got one.

I used it on an already existing order that hadn't shipped yet. That way I know I wasn't buying something I didn't want that much or at a higher price than I should just to use the credit.

I think that was a rare exception though. I applied literally 8 or 9 times, just with different email addresses, but the second one somehow snuck through. I also used my own referral link on the first one I ordered, so that wound up being free, even though the other repeats were canceled.

I did the same thing, applied mine to a pre-order that was $19.99 which was nice because now didn't have to "remember" about the upcoming charge.

But man I had a heck of a time trying to figure out how to apply the code. I could swear years ago, you could apply the code directly to an order but now looks like you have to apply the code to your account, then go and visit your order page and it'll ask you if you want to apply it. Wondering if it took the system a while to recognize it because I didn't see the message pop up til after several frustrating rounds and an annoying "chat" with an Indian CSR whose copy&paste advice was not at all helpful.

I'm still waiting for the charge to drop off for the GC that was denied.
