Just a footnote; the last of the discs from my two orders (totalling 20) arrived today well packaged as usual and most importantly (for us in the UK) no interference or extra charges from customs. Fantastic - here's to November...

I ordered all my Criterions online, on July 18, using my AAA link/10% additional discount.

I finally received Night Train to Munich about a week ago - it had been on backorder for over a month. And I am still waiting for one last title: The Lower Depths: Two Films by Kurosawa and Renoir. I wonder if I'll ever get it.

Although I do not want to cause you any alarm, I'll share my experience with an online order that included The Lower Depths: During the sale in November 2009, I ordered about 15-20 Criterion DVDs and received them all rather quickly, with the exception of The Lower Depths. I contacted B&N's customer service and they said they would send a replacement copy. The replacement copy was "lost" on the UPS truck and replaced by another copy, which arrived sometime in December. Then, I kid you not, the original order shipped and arrived LAST WEEK (September 2010). I hope you do not have to wait nearly a year for your copy to arrive.
