But what are the odds of getting pressed copies from Amazon? These were initially pressed from Warner but with Amazon...

Still, at that price, I might be willing to take a chance.

Re: Warner Archive sales

I'm still hoping Forbidden Hollywood 10 will be pressed (see it's thread elsewhere). It is listed as a MOD before release.

Re: Warner Archive sales

My understanding is the very initial is pressed.

I own season one of "Awkward." which is an MOD. But what I got from Ebay was pressed. From what read on various blogs and message boards is that 1st outing is pressed.

The same thing I've read here about folks who ordered MODs and got pressed DVDs.

The Vol. 2 collection that I bought back in November were pressed, but I guess it's the roll of the dice in what one will actually receive.

With that in mind, here are more WA collections on sale, starting with those priced at $19.99:

The Hildegarde Withers Mysteries Movies Collection:
http://www.amazon.com/Hildegarde-Wit...y%3A8219609011

The Philo Vance Murder Case Collection:
http://www.amazon.com/Philo-Vance-Mu...y%3A8219609011

Cheyenne: The Complete Sixth Season:

Maverick: The Complete Third Season:

Also,

Assorted Monogram Cowboy collections $17.99 - $19.99:

Bomba The Jungle Boy Volumes $17.99 - $19.99:

It's my understanding, which I think was confirmed by the WA years ago, that any WA titles from Amazon will be strictly burned and not pressed. I can't remember exactly where and when I read this, but I know I've avoided picking up MODs from Amazon that have been pressed by the WA. Has anyone ever gotten a pressed copy of an MOD from Amazon? If so, please report here as I am very tempted by the Bowery Boys discounted sets.

Glenn, that's my memory also. I think i read it here. I know Amazon does burn a lot of cd's themselves.

I'd forgotten about that. I can confirm *my* copy of V2 is burned (came in today). At least it appears to be a burned copy from WB instead of the Amazon Createspace program (which I read constant issues about). The $20 price is good enough I don't think I'll do a return - unless it proves to be defective. I'm still very much on the fence about V3, even at $18.

The Bowery Boys V2 is only the 5th MOD title I own. The others were highly desired titles I purchased during the early days when they still had "good" sales. I'm at the stage I'd rather own a digital copy than a MOD, although I very much dislike both methods of "ownership." Currently the only "digital" titles I "own" are those purchased with Amazon digital credits received for "slow boat" shipping.

Re: Warner Archive sales

Posted this on the Amazon.com thread in Blu-ray bargains but since this involves Warner Archives, I figure I'd post this here also:

Deal of the Week - Selected Warner Archive titles - 3 for $35:

Re: Warner Archive sales

DeepDiscount has a decent sale with many MOD titles starting at $10.43 [There are also 4 titles cheaper than this price]. They also have a 15% off coupon [NEW2017] that expires Friday 1/13 at Noon CT that will bring down these prices to below or at around $10 a title.

Re: Warner Archive sales

I haven't checked, but I would like to get "The Zeta Project" season two, but I really don't want an MOD.

And I don't want to chance it, might be pressed.
