I remember when Target was selling all of Sex and the City for $5.99 a piece, so this is hardly a good deal

I still haven't watch my $5.99 copy of Band of Brothers from that "sale" yet.

I'll probably try and get Goodfellas, 2001, Wizard of Oz, The Dark Knight, V for Vendetta and Gone with the Wind on Blu-ray and maybe some of what the other titles are.

The ad shows 4 Blu-rays for $8.99 with at least 61 others to choose from and 4 Blu-Rays for $12.99 plus at least 51 others at that price.

BF is going to put a hurt on my wallet!

Yeah I'm hoping all the retailers have dueling Blu-Ray sales. Amazon needs to match them though, I'm not going near our Target after the zoo it was last year.

I remember last year, really early this year, the latest seasons of some of these titles (House, Office, 30 Rock) wound up going on sale after New Year's. Hopefully that'll be the case again this time around.

I was also hoping that Parks and Recreation s1 would be part of the 8.99 sale.

The ad says DVD and Blu-rays and counts both when it is talking about others to choose from. I will bet that the VAST majority of the others are DVDs.

I haven't been following the fine print lately, but couldn't you buy the items on Wed. then adjust the price at Customer Service Fri. morning while the sale is in effect without getting up at 4 am and worrying about beating someone to the stock?

Or does Target have special rules that apply to Black Friday ads?

Target is good at PMing their own BF sales. buy it on Tues or Wed and PM Friday moriing (at 11am)

And I couldn't do it last year

Worst case just buy everything you want that morning and return it on the original receipt while you're in the store. Pre-buying is unnecessary but it can work as insurance on securing stock.

You could go in first thing with all the stuff you pre-bought, return it, then ask to buy it all back at the CS desk or just take it all to a regular register and check out.
