Ran across this today on the B&N web site about the Criterion sale. Look for the sale to unofficially begin maybe as early as Monday afternoon at B&N.com. They often start sales a little early. Also I remember hearing about some stores marking down Criterions to 50% as early as Sunday during the last sale.

I may just buy a few on the website instead of bothering with the hassle I put up with in store last time. I may just try that once and that's it, and buy the rest online.

I forget - coupons can be used along with the sale online, correct? If so, any tips on which code to use to get the most of of this online?

Hmm. Gomorrah comes out on Nov 24. If the sale ends at 3am then we should be able to order Gomorrah online at the sale price during that 3 hour window.

According to Laser's B&N thread, there aren't any % off coupons that can be used right now. So basically you'll just be getting the 50% off plus your 10% discount if you're a member. Yet another reason why it's worth going to the store for this deal

There is a 20% online code for first time purchases when creating a new B&N account available. You can use it over and over if you want to create multiple accounts. No membership required.

Also B&N is due for some new 10% and 15% coupons. There is a good chance they may show up Monday and get activated by mid week if they do. There also are two stackable online $5 coupons for members that could work with some titles over $20, or on a $50 order.

If you are a member don't forget free shipping is available on a $10 order until December 25. With the lower free shipping level you could go through Bing.com to earn an extra 12% cashback in addition to a members discount, any coupons, or any rewards you may earn with a credit card. So there are still other options to save extra money online.

I was looking through Criterion's catalog on their site and I'm happy to say I only want White Dog and Wings Of Desire (Blu-Ray)

Like Sweet Baby James, this is how I picked up the Repulsion BD during the last sale. Gomorrah is the only new Criterion title that I'm really chomping at the bit to get, so it looks like I'll be putting in the last minute order again as well.

Blah. Who am I kidding. I'm totally going to end up spending way too much money in this sale again.

IIRC, some of the impending releases were available at half-off, well in advance of their respective street dates. I just looked back at my order history and saw that I ordered Repulsion mid-sale.

All the offers listed on the coupon details are stackable. You can use the coupon to get one or all 5 them that are listed. However the only worthwhile offers are $5 off a CD $10 or more (price is before members discount), $5 off a DVD $20 or more, and $5 off a purchase $50 or more. If you meet the minimum requirements of the coupon and combine all three offers it will deduct $15 off your order. Also if you place the order through Bing.com you can earn an extra 12% off in cashback. However it is important to note that pre-orders are not eligible, and you must have a B&N membership purchased before or between the dates listed on the coupon. The online coupon is also valid on only one purchase for each members account.

The discounts through web sites like AAA, Visa, and military.com do not stack with a members discount. You would only get the members discount.

Their selection was limited but I picked up Hands Over The City and This Sporting Life for $15.99 each on Aug. 4th plus tax (NY) for total of $34.82. The MSRP is $39.95 each.

Went into B&N today to put my movies on hold and the manager called for me and they said i can pre order whatever i like at the 50 percent off as long as i pay for the entire preorder right there and then, even if it comes out after the sale ends. I dont think this is going to be standard everywhere but it was nice to find some cool employees.

Not a bad deal, but still not quite as good as the 10% member discount and $5 coupon stacked on 50%. I was getting $40 titles for $13 + tax.

Crazy. I hope they will do that at the store near me. I doubt they will, but I would love to get Che and Paris, Texas for 50% off.

Considering that they just had the same sale a couple of months ago, I feel reasonably confident that they will have the same sale again when those movies are released.

Laser, I gather bing worked out for you last go around in the end? I never did get paid for bn.com coupon orders.
