Just received this in an e-mail and already placed an order. 30% also applies to used books & music, along with new books. In addition, the code will give you 20% and 10% off of other items...details found here:

I know some folks had some mixed success with their used orders previously. I was relatively happy with what I received. This time around, I found a few items had dropped in price, along with some titles that were out of stock previously.
Remember, the discount is only off of single DVDs/Movies...even without the discount applying to it, they had Heroes: Season 1 for less than $10.
Also, remember their shipping seems outrageous on the surface. My order for $58 required a $20.99 shipping charge. But they ship items separately and probably spend more than what they charge you to deliver the items.

True about the ending date, though it wasn't very exact. I specifically made the thread title just as the deal in my e-mail indicated, "ends Saturday, October 17" Possibly that it will go thru 10/17, but I guess that's not a given.

That reminds me of the time Blockbuster had that reusable $10 off $10 code for used DVDs. I ordered so many that were $1 a piece (or less). They all came in individual blue bubbler packages so my mailman just left them all in one of those bins they have, hahaha.

I got my first order and one of mine looked crappy having been heavily resurfaced on both sides of a flipper and it was relatively expensive and not worth it. I hate used stores that do that. Another dvd was lightly scratched but at least not resurfaced which I absolutely hate. I'm gonna only use this store when I'm desperate for something and cant find it anywhere else. I'm thinking of complaining to them. Plus they didnt fill 2 dvd's in my order, but maybe that is a good thing...

I am happy with everything I have received so far.
I ordered a whole bunch of 79cent CDs(Duran Duran,Style Council,Front 242,Yello,Alice Cooper,The Ventures,Steve Howe etc) from them.With the 30% off,they are actually 56 cents.
I got the three disc Philip Glass-Glass Masters set less than $3.00 and three disc Ric Flair
efinitive Collection for $4.36.In excellent shape,no scratches,no missing inserts.

I used to shop at Hasting's B&M stores and they're all pretty much run by a bunch teens. I'm pretty sure most of them were the type to lay a dvd information side down when the disc wasn't being played. :/
Still, I've found shopping on their online store is more rewarding than paying way higher prices elsewhere. From this sale I ordered (prices are from memory):
1. Flight of the Conchords season 2 (previously viewed) $3.99

3. Legend of Fong Sai yuk $6.42
So far I got Flight Season 2 in perfect order (just missing the slip plastic which had the barcode), and Legend of Fong Sai Yuk. Unfortunately, as is normal with ordering movies with same-title remakes, they sent me the wrong one. Wrote them Friday, so far no response.

^ I understand. During the last 30% sale, I was disappointed with their quality control standards (Several wrong, beat up & disgustingly dirty items shipped). To their credit, their customer service is good. I emailed them with my complaint & they promptly sent me a pre-paid return label via email. They refunded me a few weeks later (Including initial shipping & tax). Give it a shot.

Got my order of the following, 2 items couldn't be found (not listed) so they refunded my money. Plus they send me the wrong Forgetting Sarah Marshall, so instead of sending it back they gave me a refund and told me to keep the disc. I ordered the 3 disc widescreen and they sent me the 1 disc full screen. Below is what I go, discount is not applied.

I was disappointed with my first order during the last 30% sale (1/3 of my order was wrong versions/films/upc's/aspect ratios/Very poor quality), but they really won me over during the 10/17 sale.
I only ordered cd's & music dvd's this time around & the quality was great (A few still had factory sealed stickers). The only issues I had was a bare-bones version that was sent in place of 2 disc version (They refunded me & told me to keep wrong disc) & a cut-out version (But mint disc) of a long OOP cd (Amazon MP prices range from $30 for acceptable to $110 for new. They sold it for $3.50 after discount). Can't beat 56 cent cd's!!! Shipping is really fast (Ordered on a Thursday & received a few on Saturday).
After 2 orders & around 60 items, my guess is results are luck of the draw. Their biggest problem is that they don't follow their own website's upc & cover art info. Their prices & selection are outstanding but they're at the mercy of the store clerk who accepts the trade-ins & logs in tech info. Given their good CS & return policies, it's definitely worth the risk (Get junk & they''ll send you a pre-paid return label & refund when received). I'll definitely shop again!
