Amazon currently has it for 19.99, but that probably means you won't be able to use your coupon on it.

I feel like BR prices keep raising for new releases. I think I'll hold out on everything this week.

Been waiting on Boy and His Blob though...the cinematics remind me of a Mikazaki film. I really like the style of this new game too.

The website is showing $7.50 for the steelbook preorder which would be the same as Snow White.

Wait...so $7.50 gets you the Up steelbook? Or is that just the deposit for the preorder? That seems too low. (and I haven't preordered from BB before)

Both. You pay $7.50 for a deposit for a preorder of UP and they give you the steelbook with it.

Re: Best Buy Ad - 10/11 - 10/17/2009

This time the ad says $5 for pre-ordering in store, I wonder why they lowered the price from $7.50 with snow white. I just hope my local store has them in stock when they are supposed to be this time, last time I went back 2 different times and they didn't end up getting them in stock until a day after I already drove 40 miles out of my way to a different store.

If you go to the store on or after Sunday you pick up the empty steelbook case right there that day and take it to the register and pay the $5/$7.50 for the pre-order. Then you come back when it is released with your receipt and that $5 or whatever you paid gets taken off and you pay the remaining.

uhm... i dunno what that is, but i know it aint a steelbook as i know steelbooks.

may be a silly question, but is that confirmed a pic of the bestbuy exclusive? if so, are we to thank you for inadvertantly slicing the spines of dvds with that box cutter every once in a while

Well.......................keep in mind Up is a 4-DISC Blu-Ray set, so that could very well be the thickness of the Steelbook.

Re: Best Buy Ad - 10/11 - 10/17/2009

The case looks like a SteelBook on all points... other than the width. Even the spine looks like a wide-ass SteelBook spine. But wtf, why would they do this? A standard DVD SteelBook can hold 6 discs easily, and I imagine with the same configuration, a Blu-Ray SteelBook could too. Ugh.

After reading some more info on a few other sites this sounds like it is a legit steelbook just a new design

Yeah, that's a 4-disc steelbook case and is thicker than normal ones.

Well at least the discs won't overlap.

The Up Steelbook looks ugly with that wide spine. I'll have to see it in person before I decide if I want to own it.

Re: Best Buy Ad - 10/11 - 10/17/2009

That's fucking stupid! Ugh. Why re-design them? Part of the allure is that they could fit up to six discs in a standard width case and still be a SteelBook!

I really hope the Canadian one isn't like that.

I have heard it and I liked it. It does take some time to get use to it, but I have grown to like it.
