I already have the old Platinum Edition DVD, but upgrading for only 9.99 on release day is too good to pass up. Plus, there was only one title I wanted from their Halloween sale and this was the perfect thing to couple it with to qualify for free shipping.

Now if only I can find the Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio blus in this price range.

The difference is the box it comes in. That's all. The contents are exactly the same.

There are 3 discs. A DVD with the Movie on it, A Blu-Ray with the Movie on it, and another Blu-Ray with the Special Features on it.

So if you only have DVD, and you want to watch the special features, you need to wait for the 2 Disc DVD coming in 6 weeks.

Sorry guys, but I need some help understanding this release/sale.

I don't have a Blu Ray Player yet. I want the standard DVD widescreen version, for standard/regular DVD players. Was this version released, or just Blu Ray?

If so, is that for $9.99 on sale with Amazon as well?

Could someone please be kind enough to let me know some details on what I'm looking for?

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs DVD will be released on November 24th 2009 with 2 DVD Discs.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Blu-ray was released on October 6th 2009 with 2 Blu-ray Discs and 1 DVD Disc.

The Blu-ray is the deal that is posted here right now, it comes with a DVD but you wont get all the special features on DVD unless you buy the DVD only set.

The Blu-ray is being release early and they are releasing it in a blu-ray packaging and in dvd packaging. Its meant to be confusing, they want you to buy the blu-ray but if your still DVD only and you want all the features you will have to wait for the 2 disc dvd only release in November.
