$10 new 4 Film Favorite collections at Wal Mart
At my local Wal Mart this weekend, I saw some new volumes of Warner Bros.and New Line's 4 Film Favorites selling for $10. The cheapest price I saw online for these same titles was only four cents cheaper (at Buy.com).
There are some interesting titles. The ones I remember are:
Batman Collection (Batman / Batman Returns / Batman Forever / Batman & Robin)
Oceans Collection (Ocean's Eleven 2001 / Ocean's Twelve / Ocean's Thirteen / Ocean's Eleven 1960)
International Spies (the 3 Austin Powers movies / Spies Like Us)
Chris Tucker (the 3 Rush Hour movies / Money Talks)
Bruce Willis (The Last Boy Scout / 16 Blocks / Last Man Standing / The Whole Nine Yards)
Police Academy 1-4 (The first 4 Police Academy movies)
Cop Comedy (Police Acdemy movies 5-7 / National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon)

I saw these at my Walmart this weekend too.
The Batman one has no extras as far as I could see. But the Austin Powers one seems to have all the extras as the regular releases. I don't recall seeing the Ocean's Collection, but perhaps I overlooked it.

all 3 blades plus the tv series pilot, that is cool, but I highly recommend the full tv series as well, tv series got cancelled way too soon, so much they could have done with it. david goyer took what was orig a minor marvel comics charactor and did some great things with it.

I'm also curious to know how they're packed - I would assume double-sided discs? If so, are they 2 discs (one movie on each side of each disc) or a single disc (2 movies each side)?
EDIT: I dont know if it's new, but I saw a "SCI FI" 4-pack today with 4 of the low-budget sci fi movies (can't recall the company - IMAGE or Echo Bridge I think?): The Black Hole, Final Days of Planet Earth, The Last Sentinel and Supernova

I'm in for the Police Academy 1-4 and, for completions sake, Comedy Pack as well. I wonder, what are the chances these get reduced to $7.50, heck, maybe even $5?

For those who hate Walmart or don't have one, these are 11.30 at Deepdiscount (so with Bing and no tax, they are close to the same).

Its ironic that most of these if not all of them come from the old WB snapper cases in their single release day. Are any of the titles remastered or is Warner Bros. just using the same transfer as the earlier dvds.
The Batman set is a nice pickup for $10. I had forgotten how popular the Police Academy movies were in the '80s. I think all of them except the last one were #1 at the box office opening weekend.

That's what I figured at first, but there were several copies in there. I brought it up for a price check, and sure enough it came up $5. This was back in winter, though... clearing out Halloween overstock, maybe? I don't know.

WTF! THAT IS GETTING SO DAMN ANNOYING! How do they mess something like that up? There should be a law. If you buy a DVD incorrectly marked you get to keep the DVD and the Studio has to reimburse you.

/\ The Blade set also indicates that Guillermo Del Toro does a commentary for Blade Trinity. Odd, considering that he directed Blade II.
It's a shame that they can't better fact-check these sorts of things.

Isn't there something more appropriate to pair with the AUSTIN POWERS trilogy than SPIES LIKE US, in a fullscreen version no less? I think it's a funny movie, but surely there must be something in the Warner catalogue that's a little more . . . stylized? Perhaps THE AVENGERS? I mean, I know it's no laugh riot, but it kind of exists in its own reality a la the POWERS movies. Sticking SPIES in there just seems a bit lazy.
I picked up the Ocean's set, which has all four movies widescreen, with all the extras intact from the single disc releases.

That's messed up. So the back of the case is completely wrong, because it shows the 'special edition' info and says it's in widescreen and features a commentary and documentary. It's gotta be a printing mistake.
